Multi color puck lights w/remote at COSTCO

I was in Costco yesterday and saw these on markdown and couldn’t resist.

Turns out the regular price of $16.99 is well worth it, but at only $9.99? That’s only 2 bucks each and they come with batteries and remote!

Here is what you get, I won’t say much except that each puck takes 3 cells and there is a separate swivel holder for each puck that can used or not. The base of the holder is magnetic so it will hold each puck once the batteries are inserted. While in range of the remote all pucks are controlled in unison. There are 4 colors in each puck and 10 brightness levels. There are also a timer options

The 4 colors, using the remote control. Remember, there is also 10 brightness levels.

AND each puck can be turned on and off independent of the remote by pressing the globe. Continued clicking cycles through the colors. There is no option to change the brightness this way, that can only be done with the remote.

@dchomak
You always find great retail deals, thanks for sharing them!

Since I posted this I have realized that these pucks have individual memories. Each remember its last state of color and brightness.
Here I manually changed the color of several and the next day when I used the remote, each came on to the color set the day before.

Also, the brightness of each puck is remembered.

These pictures don’t really show how they look. From these pictures you might think that the dome shines white and there is a colored glow around the perimeter, but that is not the case. Each dome shines the color of the light.
Here are some pics with the dome off showing the individual LED’s
3 individual LED’s for white and 3 multicolor LED’s that are each able to emit the other 3 colors, red, blue and green

Dchomak I am interested to hear how you are going to use them.

I think they’re cool and an amazing deal but not sure how I will utilize them yet.

Good question!

In the past, I have had no interest in puck lights. Just thought I never needed any. I do have a couple of battery operated LED under counter strip lights that I got years ago. I have them under the computer desks to shine on the mini tower PC’s so I can see to hook them up. Hardly ever used though.
This purchase was just for fun! I went to Costco that day solely to cash in a bonus credit that I had accrued over the year that would expire Dec 31 if I didn’t use it. I also grabbed lunch at the food concession. After I ate lunch I hit the store for the free snacks they give away (studies show that people spend more money when they get freebies)

I had to use it that day of lose it, I probably wouldn’t be going back before the end of the year.
I had 2 choices, use it to buy a commodity that we use often like coffee, (boring), or use it for a frivolous purchase. When I saw those puck lights for only $9.99 AND they came with 15 Duracell batteries, there was nothing to think about. The batteries alone were worth it. Besides, it would be FUN to check them out.
EXAMPLE

Obvious uses are under counter, in the closet or out in the shed.
But these also do colors, so they could be used for decorations.
Here is one that I just tried, lights are on their lowest brightness and it is during the daytime.
The camera once again does not show the true effect. The light is wholely red or green, there is no white light as depicted in this picture.
