IIRC, last time I checked the latest list, there were (edit/recount) 270 orders being shipped DHL, that had batteries ordered at the same time. Is that enough for a full pallet? No clue.
I thought about ordering just the flashlights, then buying the batteries stateside, then I figured the savings combined made it more worthwhile, so I ordered the package deals instead.
I'm definitely not in a big rush, but it would be nice to see the original thread unlocked, so team members that do have contacts and/or info pertaining to the topic, can post, to let us all in on what's going on. If anything
Posted this in the GT thread but got lost in the midst of other shipment posts and craziness:
Are there things we should be looking for and reporting on when we start getting our GTs? How to tell that they fixed firmware issue(which was what exactly)?
I see mine (59 ordered, 312 paid, no batteries) left Cincinnati this morning and just arrived in Milwaukee also this morning. Normally I would say no way it gets here today, but with how fast it went from Hong Kong to Cincinnati OH who knows. Might have to get some batteries ready. Where does the tracking show the expected delivery date?
Same situation for me too, but my estimated delivery still shows today. The Estimated Delivery shows on the top right under "Result Summary". Here is the page I used for tracking.
If you did not order a Q8.
For NarsilM, First operation, may be have some puzzle.
However, be patient and read the user manual carefully.
If confused, lost in manual.
Please reset the factory settings, and try again.
Below is the reset operation.
If, blinkās speed, you can read it smoothly.
Then, the firmware must be normal.
It sure would be great if we could get some sort of rough update on what the shipping schedule is looking like. They must have some idea what their plan is for sending lights out.
With respect to the business of the project, the holidays, the wedding and honeymoon I wouldnāt think it would take more than 10 minutes to update the board. Understanding that dates slip as issues develop.
Mine made it to Miami this morning but is listed as āon holdā because it got there too late to go to my local distribution center in Boca Raton, FL.
Mine is at the delivery facility, but no estimated delivery. Itās about a 38 minute drive, 32 miles. Iāll check again later or maybe just pick it up.
My GT arrived 15 minutes ago! Itās bigger than I expected!
Use a short-bladed knife (or none) if you want to avoid cutting into the interior BLF GT box. It is a tight fit inside the outer carton. I got lucky.
Here are a few photos to get everyone excited again:
Some quick comments:
The packaging is nice. The lens had a protective plastic film on it. My reflector is flawless and clean. The threads are super smooth. The lanyard attachment was already installed in the tripod hole.
FWIW, I signed up for email notification with DHL. At 09:15 I got an email that said ādelivered, signed for.ā I opened the front door and the box was on the porch. I never heard the doorbell or even the DHL truck.
āCongratulations!ā and āThank You!ā to GT-Team, Lumintop, and Neal! :+1:
Great news the US DHL GTās are on itās way and close for some. Just heard from Neal the European GTās with registered shipping will be send out in January, with and without batteries. No clue about the DHL shipments for Europe.
