Wow, nice blades you have there! :+1:
How long does it take to finish a sword like that?
If you`re interested in budget folders than you should have a look at the Ganzo FB7601 / FB7603 line too. Axis-lock with ball bearings is a good combo.

Since i only work on them limited time its not my main job, its a project in the years of making .
I dont like the ganzo so much in terms of appearence, they all look so similar, dont judge me
But thanks for the info.
Don’t forget the Ganzo G-753M if you want something slightly smaller

I bought a fixed morakniv companion on amazon for $8. I have no idea what to do with it haha.
Keep it handy for the next zombie invasion!
I find my Moras to be very effective at peeling kiwis
Welcome to the new year.
I have a question, is there any post with only coupons for knives?
Thanks and best regards.
Thanks
Received today, 3 SanRenMu’s (from GB, took 3 weeks to arrive)
All bevels are good, superb fit & finish as (nearly) always with SRM
I’m also waiting for the Little Dragon (why didn’t they name it that way?).
I’m wondering if the animal will grow on me or if I’ll make a scale for it, carbon fiber maybe to make a featherweight knife.
So after my post in this thread a page or two back I got to wondering where my pocket knife is. I seem to have lost it.
So I after researching blade steel I want to try something with CPM-M4. Any suggestions for a budget knife with that?
“CPM-M4” and “budget knife” are usually not in the same sentence
If budget knife means $150 then you should get some Benchmade knives for that price.
With free shipping within CONUS.
Lucky basterds, in Europe knives are twice as expensive, that’s why clones work so well around here.
Yea, that’s what Google said too.
But I figured if it existed, the people following this thread would know about it.
I also compared the SRM 7130 to my Izula copy. For me the handle of the SRM is more comfortable than the Izula thanks to the slightly bigger size. More pics here.
Thanks for the suggestion. Probably more than I want to spend on a knife though.
Although if $150 sounds like too much for the enthusiasts in the thread, I’d like to point out that $150 is less than the cost of eight $20 knives I bet many people have at least 8.
Need to do further testing, but I tried the counterfeit Izula on dry bamboo (quite hard wood) and the edge lost its sharpness easily… so soft steel. Don’t have a real D2 fixed blade at the moment so can’t compare. Or I need to invest in sisal rope like Pete from Cedric&Ada youtube channel!
Overall I, too, think the SRM is better
I do. But I like to try different shapes and sizes instead of saving on the grail knife which then wouldn’t satisfy me.
My first expensive (and still the most expensive) knife was a CRK TiLock clone for $140. I use it sometimes but not on a daily basis.
With wife and 2 little kids I prefer a great SRM Land 910+ with selfmade cf scales instead of expensive cutlery.
I just sharpened it and it’s scary how sharp their Sandvik is getting and impressive how well it holds an edge. I paid $11 iirc.
I’ve got rather small hands, S-M or glove size 8 in Europe and the 910+ fits perfectly, it’s my workday edc. I’d carry it at the weekends, too, but then I wouldn’t have any reasons to buy new knives… [image]
What budget sharpening system is everyone using for their budget knives?
