I have no protected 14500 on hand.

However, there is plenty of room for protected 14500.

Got my EDC05 in yesterday 1-6-2018. I was using it while taking my daughter to sleep and after about a minute on high mode the lens cracked in half :cry: I contacted banggood about the problem and they took care of me today When I chatted with Lumintop they said it was do to the bezel being to tight and the heat caused it to crack I did not know this could happen and now I know. I wonder if it could happen with larger lenses like the C8 size or large. The EDC05 is an awesome little light and the UI is great. :+1:

Just recieved my edc05 today. Has extra room for protected 14500 cells just like the one in the review. Super nice flashlight. Thanks for the review steel_1024.

Does anyone have beamshots of this light?
Specially to see how it reaches in distance (once it has XPL-HI), and if possible compared with other AA/14500 flashlights!

A new member asked for a AA light with similar characteristics of the ones that this EDC05 has, but with throw, and I recommended to take a look to this one.
Having pictures (if possible comparing it with others) would be great to see what this light does

I had the same problem with 2 utorch ut01 from GB. They resend and the 3rd one was ok. I noticed the driver on old utorch is different has a manker logo,but new ones do not,and the driver on lumintop look the same as the one on the utorch. So the problem is driver. For the money lumintop shoul have better quality control and made their own driver…

I agree. Don’t get me wrong, the physical design of the light is fantastic. I really like the machine work and springs, however that really doesn’t mean much if the job it’s designed to do falls short.
