I got mine today.
It came DHL, though I dont think I selected that option?
Anyway, initial thoughts are outstanding !
Charging batteries for full effect now.
I did not notice any change from ramped max, then double click for turbo… that is 80 up to 100% …?
I shall try fresh batteries

Going from 2 to 2.5 amps the difference is going be be hard to see with the eye. Going to have to look at something on the fringes of the GT’s range to see a difference with the naked eye.

I noticed a slight change.

But I agree it would be really hard to see if you aren’t looking for it, well if you were looking for it and expect more of a change then it really is, then it could be hard to miss.

This was with only 4 30Q batteries at 3.9v. The 8 35E are still charging.

I tried a ceiling bounce.
Ramped all the way, 160 lumen.
Turbo, 175 lumen.
It’s pretty hard to see with your eyes, but the meter shows it.

Coyotehawk will add your names to his sign up list. You’ll see your name when he does the next update. It will be sometime mid January when you are emailed with the details of where to go and how to order. (Uses PayPal, btw)

You can also buy 8 of the Samsung 35E batteries for $40 at the same time as you buy the light. No sign up necessary for those. There are plenty of batteries in stock. Just add them at checkout.

Just so people are aware, if we should happen to run out of the first 1500 lights (I doubt that will happen, but it is possible), there will be no guarantees for those over 1500. Although we will try to get lumintop to honor them with the next batch they are under no obligation to do so.

At the current rate of drop-outs we can except around 200-250 people to drop out (so the list could get to 1700-1750 people and still have enough, in theory), so this should not be a problem but I want to give fair warning since so many people are singing up here on the last day.

The alternative option is I close the GB right now and no one even gets a shot at the cheaper price. I figured people would at least like a shot at the GB price.
