When is the next run?
Thank you…… :+1: …
When is the next run?
They are being built & shipped at the rate of 150 - 200 a week.
As far as the next group of payment PM’s…. They will be sent after most of the standing orders are filled, according to TA.
That will ’most likely’ be a couple of weeks.

Spartan, I have much experience in building throwers, as much as anyone here. I like a cooler white in my throwers, and I didn’t keep the 4000K emitter in my GT for more than a few hours. As soon as I managed to break into the GT the emitter was swapped.
I have another GT in hand now, I wasn’t planning on opening it up as I intend to gift it, but I will open it and put one carrier in each light, using the same cells of which I have 8 matched. I will then attempt the same 1.9 mile beam shot at the water tower that I did last night and see if the warm 4000K hits the tower as well, better, or less than the cool white I swapped into my first GT. I will then report back soon after the test, tomorrow evening. With beam shots.
If the warm orange spot I saw in my first one doesn’t illuminate the tower to my satisfaction I will be swapping it out in the second GT before gifting occurs next month. Regardless of how the test comes out, I will not be using the 4000K in my personal light. I detest the color. Pure and simple.
Since human eyes adapt to environment, light source color tint and perceived objects, i wonder you can do a non biased test on these two lights. Somemore the object is far away, your brain might fool you one light is better for example you might take shorter time to recognize a distanced object when you shine on it second time.
I meant to say is there a better designed test methods for this kind of comparison.
I not jump in q8 cause it nw and i think for flood light i still have m6 and mf01.
But for gt, no light (right now) like this giant thrower…
Yes i buy gt and planned to swap emitter even i never do that before…
Hope will find on youtube how to do that… or hi… Dale how to changed your gt led?
ARSee, press the end of the bezel against a car tire (remove stones first in the treads) and use the tire to grip the bezel so you can twist it off. Worked for me.
Thanks for the lead, Dale. I have some new conveyor belting. I'll lay a piece on the shop floor and try that.
My batts finally charged. I put the GT on the baby scale, and it weighed in at 5lbs-1.0 oz. I may need a bipod on my arm. LOL!!

You are not alone….
Looking forward to what you find out………
Thank you. :+1:
I want one!!
Then allow me to be blunt back…
You are adorable.
I want one!!
The Group Buy is CLOSED
Better luck next time.
I think I want something in the 5k lumen range, in the 5000k range. We need to start seeing more mods and beam shots posted… What’s taking so long??? :innocent:
Dale, that comparison would be amazing. Thank you!

FlashIight: Spartan16::rage: :rage: :rage: VERY seriously concerned… I’m waiting for mine to be delivered… and I’ve just come across the following on YouTube… this guy has the original ‘Giggles’ BLF Gigathrower (which is what I thought I was purchasing…) and now has just received the new BLF GT we’ve all ordered… and he compares the two… go to 03:16… he starts with the original and then fires up the new model we’re all getting… and get ready to weep… if mine performs like this with the (relatively) weak yellow beam - it’ll be getting returned for a refund.
The warmer tint of the production model means that less light is diffracted in the air, and more of it hits the target. That’s why you get less of a lightsaber effect… Most people prefer neutral or warm white tints for throwers (when they actually want to see the things they’re pointing their light at).
Unfortunately - the camera doesn’t lie… it is crystal clear from the video that the new model has a marked reduction in performance.
I know people have different preferences of tint… but in my experience of both users and the progression of recent years of flashlight development, yellow is inferior - by far.
I remember watching numerous comparison videos of stuff like the first XLH diodes etc… and the latest and best was always the ‘brightest and whitest’. It gives more clarity and is just, well, brighter.
how is this a reduction?
this is a still shot of that video, so you can more closely compare the 2.
look at all that nasty looking, scattered , white light being wasted off the original.
compare the tree colors between the 2 lights
the cw makes the trees look dead and ghostly, like somebody hit them with a coat of white spray paint, or puked on them maybe :confounded:
then look at the nw version. looks like real trees
less scattered , wasted light coming off the center ball of fire.
both center hotspots look pretty close to intensity to me….
actually looks like snow sticking to the trees on the left, cool white led shot here…horrible for color rendering, for me anyways
looks so un natural
Even though people are dropping out I can’t take a spot?
Hugh Johnson:Dale, that comparison would be amazing. Thank you!

+3 … It will be.
This one by Dale was amazing too.
An actual beamshot taken ’at the target’ to show how much light is hitting the target.
This is where the rubber hits the road…. for me anyway …

What colour emitter will you choose to put now,5000°Κ,or higher?I ask because I didn’t like myself the tint I saw in the latest video here.
Even though people are dropping out I can’t take a spot?
I think they are making a reserve list. And since you made a request I ‘imagine’ you will be put on it in the order your request was initially made…
TA has already said there is no guarantees past 1500 lights. BUT…better to have tried…. than not.
………………………
EDIT ……… See post I have quoted below……… I had missed it.
