Tube Style lights with XHP35/XHP50

Many new zebralights are using XHP35 and XHP50.2, there are also offerings from klarus and jetbeam as well. But I can’t remember the models right now.

There’s also the new nitecore MH23, it has a larger head but I believe it will become very popular as the MH20 did. I hope to see a MH23GT soon.

Klarus XT2CR uses XHP35. Most lights in this category step down very quickly.

Thanks for posting! I wasn’t aware of any of those.

In the Zebralight line first I found different variations of the SC600 with XHP35 and XHP50, a very compact size indeed however with its 30mm head size a bit more than a “Tube Style” but its shorty length of only 96mm nearly makes up for that, plus its 2300lm max output is quite notable as well! That’s quite an awesome flashlight.

I also found their SC63w 18650 with XHP35. It’s extremely compact at 92.5mm x 24.5, however it’s somewhat lacking in max output at only 1126lm.

For the Nitecore MH23 yes also a large head as you pointed out, but an MH20 on steroids! I couldn’t find the spec for the head diameter, the MH20’s head is nearly 32mm.

In Klarus and Jetbeam I found each have one model with XHP35 that fits tube style category: Klarus XT2CR (1600lm) and Jetbeam Jet-TH15 (1300lm)
The Jetbeam is lacking in max output and is quite long at around 150mm length. The Klarus is comparable in size to the ArmyTeks I referenced although slightly lower in output.

Personally I think I’m more excited by the XHP50 variants in a small EDC, just for their higher max outputs. As far as a true “Tube Style” XHP pocket rocket, so far the Eagtac’s DX3B mini’s appeal to me the most, however I dislike their side switch design - seems it would be hard to locate in total darkness.

For the slightly larger (fatter head) category I REALLY like this one: SC600w Mk IV Plus 18650 XHP50.2

Very nice I forgot about this one, Thanks for posting! Now I remember reading on here before about the weak tail magnet.

And like their XHP35 headlamp (HC33) this one has a decent price too, probably even better with some deal code if available, plus that side switch looks like it would be no problem to locate in total darkness.

Doesn’t appear to be a NW option though. The main reason I didn’t jump on their HC33.

I can’t find much info on this one but the selling price of the UltraTac T15 is around $40

Nitecore EC23 XHP35 HD E2 1800Lumens High Performance EDC LED Flashlight 18650

I picked one of these up for about $40 at BG. They aren’t doing a deal right now but with a little patience who knows?

How about a BLF A6 or an S2+ with XHP? I think that will be awesome. Most of the times I want my EDC on low levels but handy to have high output and long range.

So what would be an advantage of the xhp35 over the xhp50.2? I suppose throw would be one. I was going to build one with a 50.2 since the output is higher and I can run it on a lower voltage.

Olight M2R has an XHP35

No such reliable driver yet

I like mine even though I prefer a warmer tint. Worth the price I think

Great find, thanks for posting! Budget priced! 1500lm 15855cd

But as you said not much info, can’t find a good description of the dual switch UI. Appears to be only 2 sources where to buy it: Kaidomain and ebay.

On the T15 page you linked in your post there’s a button for a user manual but it doesn’t work. I’m going to contact them about or KD about it.

Another good find! Thanks for posting!1800lm 16,200cd

I have the Nitecore edc23. It is VERY impressive. I very much like it. The UI is excellent and user friendly. The light is the perfect.

yet another! Thanks for posting. Wait… a NW version from Olight?? YES! :+1: :+1: :+1:
Plus it fits the magnetic charging dock (optional) I really love that system.

After buying several Olight in the past (S15, S20, s30) I’ve had to steer away from them because of no NW option.

Definitely a decent price, I’m tempted to give it a try, especially if it tint isn’t overly cold/bluish. I’ll have to read up on some reviews for it, seems there’s are quite a few here. Someone on the Nitecore store site reported the EC23 had better color rendering, (he also has a Concept1) But I much prefer the smaller size and smoother look of the Concept1.

Impressive list. They all seem very nice.
Is there an overall standout?

OP updated with all the additions that were posted so far. (that fit the size category)

The list is growing fast!………

Mostly all XHP35, so far only one with XHP50, the Eagtac DX3B mini’s

That’s what I meant. All the ones on the list look great and can’t afford to buy them all.
Which one to get….decisions, decisions……
