I glued a stainless steel washer to mine . Polished it up first . It helps protect the switch from being pushed accidentally and helps find it by feel . I find moonlight too dim also . I really like the light . Very bright and disappears in the front pocket . My new EDC .
I would like to see new version of SP33. Same body, but with better UI (fast access to lowest mode at least; ideally like Olight UI), thick shelf under emitter and something like XHP50.2 inside shallow OP reflector, powered with constant current boost driver. In other words, it would be nice to have compact pocket flooder with 26650 inside it. Even at double price of SP33.
Could you please talk to the people “in charge” and get them to put the warm white LED from your SF36 W into some of your other lights? That light output is spectacular! I would purchase most of the Sofirn lineup if they also had that 3000k LED in them…
Yep, I got one as a sample, loved it, but heard that they weren’t going to be marketted. :o
Someone here pointed me at their listing on AX, and I went and got 2 of the few that were left, then had reverse buyer’s remorse, and a coupla days later bought 2 more of the 6 that were left.
I didn’t want to take the chance they’d be discontinued and I’d be kicking myself again, so got a lifetime supply.
It’s my new go-to light at night. Beautiful perfect-brightness moonlight mode for lighting up, say, a wall-clock on the opposite end of the room. Great warm light for poking around outside, especially around green leafy stuff. Isn’t as jarring as the bucket-of-icewater CW light other lights have. It’s just an all-around great light that I actually considered EDCing instead of my trusty ’502. As it is, I always keep it in my bag, too.
It ain’t the brightest light out there, but turbo is plenty bright for most things, and it’s got a great thermal path because the beastie gets warm in a hurry when on high.
And I still get ooohs and aaahs when people see the nice warm light. They expect Angry Blue™ light, just like from the craptastic lights they’re used to, and are dumbstruck when they see an actual WW light!
