Is there any particular reason the waybill number of the DHL shipments aren’t being supplied to people? I see a lot of people not getting their tracking.
I bet this is a first for DHL, sheer number of people calling over the same package. (essentially)
I have plans to slice some HD’s and de-dome others, picked up some fuel to do just that about an hour ago.
Emitters will be here tomorrow. Dang cold front is here TODAY! Dropped 20º after I left the house and before I could get back. Wind is roaring. Literally was 68º when D and I left, supposed to be 29º tonight… 46º now and still dropping. My neck feels like it’s got a pair of vice grips clamped on the front, dang cold fronts.
Nice! I went for a walk with mine last night and I definitely need a strap or a handle or something. How does the handle work in terms of comfortably carrying? So far, the most comfortable way of carrying it seems to be over the shoulder like an axe.
An inexpensive sling used cross body is an extremely comfortable way to carry the light. You don’t have a cold climate but anyone in a cold climate holding aluminum will quickly regret it and the colder the climate the more pronounced the effect. Aluminum wicks heat away from the hand just as rapidly as it does the same to the light. Of course a handle like that is extremely easy to insulate and gloves can be worn. I think it’s a great idea.
So far only the people up to #1049 have gotten purchase info. Production of the lights is slow compared to a smaller light, like the Q8, so we are giving Lumintop and Neal some extra time to fill these first 850 or so orders.
It may be another week or two before Texas_Ace decides to send out the rest of the purchase PM’s to #1050 and above.
Sorry, I thought you said you got a tracking info or shipping notice. No worries, though. I removed you. This is just a general list to see how Neal is shipping things.
The ANSI-FL1 standards measure the distance out until the light gets to 0.25 lux. This would be equivalent to moonlight on a full moon with a clear sky. So I’m guessing your water tower was being hit by less than 0.25 lux.
In theory, each individual photon travels out to infinity unless stopped by some object. It’s just radiation after all. All those billions/trillions of photons eventually spread out over distance.
This is the latest “rough” list of people from the 3rd shipment who have either got tracking notices or received their light. These are all international orders and only DHL as far as I have seen.
