I want three units total, I posted again several posts later to ask for a third unit. This was a mistake posting the same reply twice.

FWIW, I upgraded the thermal regulation behavior. I still need to do some extensive testing on it, but hopefully it will behave. Specifically, it adjusts the output in about 640 very small steps until it thinks it is no longer too hot or too cold… and the adjustment speed now changes depending on how far it needs to go. Additionally, the adjustments are based on the projected future temperature, which works like a car trying to “steer into” the curves.

Hopefully this will allow it to react quickly but also avoid oscillations after it has reached a maintainable level. I won’t know for sure until I test it though, and that takes a while.

This is why we CAN have nice things. You rock. Really though, I wouldn’t even know where to start with this stuff. This is awesome.

Ok, I have finally decided: Please put me down for one!
Thanks!

EDIT: It’d be cool if there was an option to pay a bit more to select Nichias? I’d pay another $10 for that

Now your talking. I would gladly pay an extra $10 for the nichia. If this ends up with a green tint mine is just going to be a paperweight.

Sure wouldn’t want to overload our resident Genius but how neat would it be if this light used 3 carefully selected tints to emit a near perfect output? With the proper optic to blend them, of course… is this doable with the XPL HI emitter? (optic is, of course, meant the mixing of tints for a high CRI 5000K output)
