Where to find high power magenta led with cree 3535 footprint?

I have been searching for and haven’t found a high power magenta led for a triple cmyk build. Cyan and yellow on the other hand seem to be easy to source.

What is he wavelength you’re looking for?
Magenta could be somewhere between red and purple, which doesn’t exist as a monochromatic LED colour, because the spectrum goes from purple to red (or UV to IR rather).
660 nm deep red is nice though.

Yellow is usually a bit to the orange side by the way.
It’s hard to fine a real 580 nm LED

Why would you want to make a CMYK flashlight? Colors mix different compared to paint or ink. With an RGB flashlight you can make all colors, including cyan, magenta and yellow.

I understand that magenta doesn’t have a wavelength and is instead a combination of red and blue. CMYK is a print standard and there is also no K (black) LEDs (yet).

I wanted to create a hand held portable version of this colored shadow effect :http://dennisparren.com/portfolio/cmyk-bulb/ for 80s retro A E S T H E T I C lighting. I would like to fit this all in a single 18650 light with 20mm carclo optic

I think I might cheat and go the RGB route and diffuse the led dome, but the only 3535 RGB leds I have found so far are the neopixel / sk6812 addressable led. These should fit under the optic, but won’t work with the triple mcpcb boards and won’t have much power.

I’d like to know how to make black with an LED…

Power it backwards?

A black LED could be:

Anti-Photon Emitter?

Sharpie marker ?

Unpowered led?

An overdriven and burned out led?

The possibilities are endless
