I like to collect stuff, the DMMâs and Proxxonâs are collection of past 20 years.
Buuuut, unfortunately the lathe is gone, one of my best friends was very interested in the Proxxon lathe so I sold it to him couple months ago. After being here I see a lot potentials for a lathe, but I didnât use the lathe last couple years so I thought I can make my friend happy and maybe stop him whining about it, now he whines about the mill soooâŚ
But still got enough Proxxon tools, the lathe was actually little bit too small for most things I wanted to build. So who knows maybe I get another one with bigger center distance but still in small form.
Welcome SpAwN, and also Borri and iwandutchy. Wow, the last two of you are almost my neighbours! I feel the birth of a Dutch chapter coming. Letâs buy some more BLF GTâs, and we all will be outlawed.
Sorry friend, but this canât be done Specially after seeing those shelfs Amazing!!!
I guess youâll have to have another one for you future flashlight collection :smiling_imp: Eheheh!
Welcome to BLF SpAwN! Most impressive work room. Building lighted tailcaps is a fun challenge. Iâm sure youâve seen this link pertaining to lighted tailcaps, but just in case: D.I.Y. Illuminated tailcap.
Thanks for warm welcome again guys, I think I will spend a lot more time here than I suppose to
I was thinking about the Vaping batteries I got, those are 40A discharge with lesser mAh since the flashlights I ordered doesnât need anything near 10A, I decided to get couple LG MJ1 10A 3500mAh, I hope these will work okay and keep the charge long time.
Thanks for the link NeutralFan, believe me I read all 57 pages couple days ago I even ordered some PCBâs from Oshpark, PD put a lot effort in those PCB layouts I am sure it will be good. I am not much of a SMD solder guy, but I have couple decent soldering stations (even one Proxxon, go figure ) and a hot air rework station. But my eyes and hands are not that good as it used to be, but I am sure it will come around.
Here Proxxon soldering station for techies among us, it is pretty rare:
Just sign up for The FW3A a TLF BLF special, also eyeballing at the BLF Q8 if the price drops I might get one and it is not even useful for me⌠but it looks awesome :sunglasses:
Like I said before âSomeone needs stop me!â
Thanks Yokiamy, âŹ42 sounds really nice, I am subscribed for price drops on Banggood, the thing is I want to wait and get BLF A6 delivered, I had slightly bad experience with Banggood couple years ago, with my first order ever there. I order mostly from Aliexpress (1100+ orders in last couple years), Aliexpress dispute system works good.
Welkom. For a newcomer you seem to have made impressively wise choices; most of us had to buy a good deal of cheap stuff before we became educated enough to choose the lights you have ordered. If you can accept the significantly reduced run-time, try the BLF A6 with an 18350 for greater pocket-ability, one of my favorites.
Hi, Thanks for your kind words, if I didnât found this forum with this much knowledge I wouldnât know what to buy. For the pocket-ability I ordered a Utorch UT01. The BLF A6 will be on my belt at work.
Thanks to Yokiamyâs advice I also ordered a BLF Q8 with nice discount code from M4DM4Xâs blog, I canât thank them enough!
So⌠in last 14 days I ordered,
BLF A6
Convoy C8 Clear
Utorch UT01
BLF Q8
and sign up for The FW3A a TLF BLF
I want a Convoy S2+ with XML HI when I see one with right price.
Now I am going to try to wait and not buy anything till these flashlights arrive (at least I hope to do so)
I am not even going to ask âSome stop me pleaseâ now, I am deep in to this :person_facepalming: already ordered 6 flashlights even before I get one in my handsâŚ
Oh and, I am also looking for an ON THE ROAD M3 for a right price :weary:
