my GT arrived several weeks ago, all seemed well, first impression was ” that is HUGE”! second impression was, “hmm really big but what the heck will i use it for?” Well last night after several weeks of sub zero weather followed by several days of really warm (50-60 degrees) weather. I live on a cove adjoining a river and suddenly the water level began to rise covering half the front lawn, this was followed by radio and television reports of a huge ice jam breaking loose and making its was down river (towards me!). reports of flooding and evacuations from low lying properties and damages to one of the bridges. well, we anxiously watched the level of the rising water and it stopped very close to a flooding point for my cellar. as evening arrived and still no word on the advancing ice floes I was feeling a little helpless until, you guesed it, I notice the GT sitting there fully loaded and charged. I set up up strap for the eye bolt i had ordered and went out to the porch, Holy , it threw a very tight spotlight beam out to the river 300+ meters off clearly showing details of the river, no change in the ice, WOW! for what it is designed for it does a wonderful job plus I can now justify to the wife!

I was #3 on the paid list, and ordered with batteries.
The light arrived (I think) the week of January 2nd. I was out of town, and don’t know the exact date, but it was waiting for me when I returned to Ohio on Jan. 11th.
Note: I have the dreaded “dark button”, and the light is making a creaking / tinking noise as it heats up.
I suspect thermal expansion. If after a few weeks it still “tinks”, I might open it up and re-seat / lube / thermal compound everything.
In any case, I’m waiting at least a few weeks to bug anyone about either issue.
Did you receive yours in Malaysia ? Via DHL ?
Were there any issues with customs ?
Also, did DHL ever send any tracking info via email or did they just text/ call ?

I am sorry to read DHL Netherlands will ad €50 for the GT. I now regret I changed from registered to DHL, but I had no hope Lumintop would send registered GT's soon, and Neal told me the European GT's would ship on the 6th. Well, they did, but not to my house.
Just got answer from Neal.
My GT from last 50 is not shipped yet, he asked me additional $20 payment.
That’s a bummer. What country are you in? I tried googling rf spb, but got nothing.
Like TA said, you can pay that extra shipping fee if you want, but it’s not mandatory. It might speed it up, though.

I got an update from Neal
On January 16 I paid $ 37 extra for shipping, as we agreed
Hurray! I got my new GT dumbbell today. LED is perfectly centered and perfect anodization and reflector to my eyes.
I am among the last 50 of 850 orders. It was shipped on 13.3.2018 according to label on the box. I chose DHL but it was shipped via a local logistic company, no DHL name or any logistic company name put on the box. The delivery lorry had the name of the local logistic company and the delivery boy introduced himself, that’s how I know the logistic company. Prior to it, no tracking number was sent to me and i was surprised to receive a call from delivery boy, and i was wondering could it be parcel from Gearbest or Banggood.
I am just reporting, no complaints since parcel delivered without damage. I am so happy my patience has paid off.

More and more is coming to light about the back end issues as I keep emailing lumintop.
I will give the details once I have them all but lumintop is still going to make good on the lights and shipments and is making some big changes to how things are done to speed up the process.
The long as short of it is that we should have done it how I suggested way back in November. :person_facepalming:

My tracking number has cleared Canadian customs and has now updated Expected delivery to 2018/03/29! Yay!
LOL I thought I am used to holding heavy stuffs, but GT makes me switch hands very quickly. :sunglasses:
