[PART 1] Official BLF GT Group Buy thread. Group buy officially closed! Lights shipping.

FL = FinLand not FLorida so he’d have got one in the EU batch that doesn’t cover everyone in the EU.

That is because it seems that is how “poor Miller” wanted it.

He made it perfectly clear this was “His Group Buy”…. and it would be done His way.

Back early on he even withdrew because it was not going his way.

No blame… just saying.

Oh… FL = FLORIDA in my world.

Suomi is in USA?

I rest my case……

Speculation: Maybe some part of the mill to make the reflector got worn out earlier than expected.
Like everyone I’m eager to get the GT (mod parts are already in!)

But I much rather wait another month or so for a perfect reflector!
I agree communication isn’t perfect, but it hardly ever is when ordering from China.
Everybody here still does, because we are budget orientated and they make ok stuff.

So please Lumintop, take your time to have a perfect reflector shipped. It will help in the future selling numbers of the BLF GT

Made a video running the BLF GT for 25 mins on turbo and recoded a Thermal Video of the light.
Room temp was 25 degrees with no forced ventilation. Light was on turbo from start to end of recording. Max temp seemed to be around 44 Degrees C.

Battery dropped from 4.20v to 4.00v during the 25 mins. And this was using one carrier with 4 cells only.

I have the same thought.
So let’s cross our fingers.

I must have missed the memo that said it was now OK to post peoples names and locations on the web…

I have been a member of this forum for 5 years. I have been on the team of multiple group buys, done extensive testing on prototypes, then seen the light changed at the last minute and a different version shipped. I’ve seen the other team members go virtually silent, those are doing much the same to this day, in other places. I’ve seen quite a lot of things happen. I’ve actually built prototypes on the prototypes and sent them back to China. What’s happening here is not liked, to be sure, but it is indeed par for the course.

To date, MOST of this group buy has gone according to plan. The lights are well made, the driver was delivered as specced, the only real flaw is in the shipping process. It’ll all sort out, there will be a lot of very happy people in the end, and most of these folks will join yet another group buy.

Nature of the beast.

Certain individual’s have been involved in most of the group buy’s that I’ve seen go wonky. Perhaps it’s their aura, perhaps it’s something else. Time has made most of the issues a moot point in the past, probably will here as well. Boils back down to patience, I know I’m not on the waiting side but most likely would have forgotten I’d ordered by now so the waiting wouldn’t have torn me up. Visiting here and posting regularly could well be some of the people’s problem, it’s keeping the pot stirred… as it were.

Slight problem with mine.
It has been returned ‘due to containing lithium batteries that were not declared by he shipper.’
I paid on the 2nd December, please re-send it to me, sounds like you need to declare the batteries…?

What do you mean?

Names and locations are right there on the left side of each post. Not everyone posts their country. I wish they would as it makes it easier to recommend things they ask about such as stores, etc… It also helps us figure out shipping related stuff.

I think hes referring to the Facebook profile pic of Neal someone put up.

although it wasn’t actually neal, still, some might see it as rude sharing someones personal profile.

Hey, a UK order got sent! First one I’ve heard about.

Sorry about it getting shipped back. I wonder if some other UK DHL shipments got turned back as well. Hmmm.

The fact that the batteries have stickers covering the connections and are also packaged inside the battery tube should allow them to be shipped easily around the world. Maybe the UK has stricter requirements?

Oh, your probably right. That was a fake Neal posted above, BTW.

Poor guy, probably getting swamped with Pms with questions about the GT LOL
