I can’t not find that model of light. Do you mean the BLF A6/Astrolux S1?
NarsilM is what is used in the GT and that is for use with an e-switch. Mechanical switch lights can’t use it.
Although, I believe ToyKeeper has a ramping firmware that can work with a clicky switch light, but it requires a new driver.
Are you talking about the Astrolux S42? Texas_Ace was doing some driver development for Astrolux to put NarsilM on that light in the future. In fact, Lexel has a driver running NarsilM for it. More details can be found here.
I just can’t imagine the conundrum of Neal’s predicament.
Understandably, some members are complaining about Neal’s non-reply of any email or message in any form just to know the real status from the man himself, (of which he can easily do,)
BUT,
on the other hand, if he is indeed in Lumintop’s factory personally attending the packing and checking change of addresses, messages regarding orders with batteries or not, change of couriers, etc. etc., imagine how much of Neal’s time will be allocated just to answer these messages, then delaying the first scenario.
….and that does not include the reported quality concerns of the reflectors that has added to the delay.
I still find it hard to believe that it is a GT that has been stopped. Why would Neal/Lumintop use FedEX to ship instead of DHL. You’d think that they’d have a deal with a shipping firm and if you’re shipping hundreds of units you’d send them all via the same method.
The 555 list went up to about #769 or #770 on the Millers list due to people not making down payments. So you are still in the first round of payments.

idea was to try to fit luminus pt-54 led (which is 3V led) inside the GT but I disregarded huge difference in input voltages, BLF A6 takes 4.2V max…

I should probably point out again, I’m purely posting this for information and help-for myself and others. I know some people feel there is a bit of moaning going on in this thread…whether that is true, or just the result of a misunderstanding…that certainly isn’t what this input is.

Correct. We are still filling orders from the first group of purchases #1 to #1049. You are in the third round of purchases #1065 which has not started yet.
There will be people modding the GT to 3v. It requires a new driver plus modding the carriers from 4S to 4P. Texas_Ace might do this as well to try the Oslon Black Flat led. It’s 1mm by 1mm, but only about 700 to 800 lumen. (xhp35 is 2mm x 2mm) It should make for a tiny, pencil thin beam that goes further than the stock GT.
Or maybe the xp-g2 (1.2mm x 1.29mm, 1,000 lumen)
