Home Depot Deal Alerts & Discussion Thread

Yes indeed, I DO have a lot of balls. I even have more balls than I did yesterday.
Another Home Depot had them for 98 cents per dozen!
Here are the before and after pics.

AND…………………………………………….
Because I have a lot of balls, I went to the service desk and asked them to refund the difference on the balls I bought yesterday!
98 dozen golf balls.

Receipt on left is refunding my card the purchase of 36 dozen balls at 1.99 each. The receipt on the right is buying them back at 98 cents.

There is a very good chance this is happening at all HD’s right now. If you are lucky, and someone like me hasn’t cleaned the store out, you can score this deal.
Another store I went too also had these at 98 cents.

There is nothing for me to think about on this deal, each year I spend more than this at the driving range. I could just hit these away and actually save a lot of money.

Next year, EVERYONE in my family is getting golf balls for Christmas. Even if they don’t play golf. Heck even my 95 year old Mother-in Law is getting them

I was wrong though about the original price at Home Depot. They were only $9.99 per dozen. That is a great price as is. They do sell for $20 a dozen normally.

Couple weeks ago the air hose was on the website for $7.99. I looked at other hoses, basically the same in Home depot for $35.Figured the marked down hose was the black friday clearence. Went in to buy it. The display was $14.99. The manager honored the website price, took my phone and compared prices. He said the web was a mistake. Few hours later the web price was back up.

After reading your post, I was laughing so hard that my wife came into the room to see if I was okay!

After a hard day shoveling snow I finished the day moving today’s haul of golf balls. 8 trips of 24 dozen each really tired me out.
In the house and up a flight of stairs. Believe me, 24 dozen golf balls are a bit heavy.

A friend asked me to pick up one of those 12,000 mAh power banks which I did. While I was at it, I poked around a bit and found a penny deal. It’s in the above picture, but here is a close up.

Your not the only one

I foresee an increase of broken windows and dented car panels in certain neighborhoods shortly after the next Christmas season.

Those projection Christmas lights went to an even $1
In fact all remaining Christmas stuff went to a buck, irregardless if it’s original price

Some more deals I have come across

Found a couple deals at my Home Depot:

I bought two of the boot scrubbers. Did not buy the socket set. I did buy one of the $3.83 CenTech bluetooth speakers shown in DCH’s post above though. I also picked up an MR16 12v LED “50 watt equiv” Philips bulb for $2.32. Oh, and those GE “Reveal” bulbs are on pallets by the front entrance for I think $2.02 and $2.32 a pack - I bought none.

How’s the Speaker? I got one too but haven’t tried it out yet. Seems heavy for its size. That could be a good sign.
All the Aqua Craft roofing tools are 75% off. I got pump jacks etc. all set for spring repairs.

It’s ok for what it is. Took quite a long time to charge it’s little 300mAh li-ion battery! Very little bass.

I had some free time today and needed an easy day, so I visited a couple of HD’s, Lowes etc.
First up was this deal on Polk in ceiling speakers. BUT I was too late, all gone :frowning:

Sitting next to them were some in wall speakers, but they were $69.00. (more on that later)

Elsewhere in the store I came across these, 56V, 2.5Ah leaf blowers. There were originally $129 and were reduced to an even $95.00
No that they are at the “6” price, it means that they are on their final clearance markdowns. Next stop the “3” price of around $35.00!

I also came across and picked up a couple of these. A small, in your palm high pressure manual pump.

Then on to another store.
I made a bee line for the electrical section to look for speakers. Yep, ceiling speakers gone, BUT so are the in wall speakers.
AND they were reduced to $13.73!

Soooooooooooo, I went back to the first store and took one of the in wall speakers up to the SCO and scanned it.
$13.73. I should have guessed that earlier, the marked price of $69.00 ended with “00”, the very first markdown price.
There were 3, and they were dirty!

I have no need for in wall speakers, but at that price I think I shall use these for parts. I would like to make a portable Bluetooth, mp3 player that runs on drill pack batteries. As far as I know, nobody, Ridgid or Ryobi or Makita or Milwaukee etc, make both a Bluetooth AND mp3 player for the tool packs
6 1/2” woofer and tweeter and a shot of the crossover. Definitely worth the price!

About time after a long dry spell

Also got a wink relay for 16. No pic though.

I saw this and stopped by my local HD, they had none in stock, none available online and if they were they were available it was still $59.99. You got lucky.

What’s lucky is I grabbed one this morning and went back after work for another and they just put the staplers out. The overhead bin has like 10 more… I may get some penny deals

I walk around in HD every time I’m there looking for some of these deals. Mine always has some kind of sale but never the good deals some of you are finding. I wonder if these deals are manager specific deals. Some want to get rid of the stuff and others just want to send the items back.

Must of been a local deal even if they would’ve had one it showed it was the regular price at my HD, when I asked if they had a clearance rack was told no any sale item are on the end of all the isle.

Do not want to damper thread. BUT, issues need to be addressed with Home Depot with so called ” deals ”

I saw entire case of Milwaukee 100 lumen penlights tagged $9.99. The store manager REFUSED to sell them to me. He blamed mistake on other people. Rather than address issue and fix it. The correct step should have been selling items to me. Then removing sign completely for $9.99. Calling associate meeting to make sure proper protocol for correct pricing is rolled out to entire staff.

Making customer happy and satisfied keeps them coming back. Not here. I will be shopping elsewhere for sure.

I was retail manager for 15 years. Ironically at home improvement stores. Anyone remember Builder’s Square, Builder’s Emporium, Home Base?

^Speaking of that,
Today I was in a HD and came across this display of LED lights.
These are newer “high end” CREE’s that have high CRI. They sell at a premium relative to today’s prices and were about $20 each.
You can recognize them by the rainbow of colors on the package.

On clearance and marked down 75% to the “2” price of $5.02. Next step is to pull them and send them out to the dumpster.
Or so they say
What I really think is that they are going back to CREE and CREE is unloading them into the “odd lot” market.
A couple of days earler, I was in an Ocean State Job Lot and came across these.

Same high CRI bulb for only 99 cents, AND if you buy 12 you get a $12 gift card to the store at the register!
Net price of zero.

OSJL has been off loading CREE and other manufacturers bulbs now for over a year. Same deal on all, 99 cents per bulb with a full refund at the register in the form of a CRAZY DEAL gift card.
How can resist not buying all I can?
