Believe me, I got one, quality is horrible in short
Would not recommend it

Good to know. For the price I would suppose the quality control is at best “it works so it’s ok”.
I just found this review:
XANES WT518 review by carambola
It seems he had more luck as what he describes is more or less what I would expect from 4$ light.

Well, agree it does work, maybe I even agree its worth $4, but comparing this with cheap convoys…difference is quite obvious in all respects I could think of

Convoy L2 tint 5B is available in stock and coupon code da6f29 is still working (price drops to $20.90).
»Original post here«

L2 ordered.
Thanks Petemer !

Does the Convoy L2 code still works? It’s out of stock right atm.

Those L2s sure go quickly!

Yes, indeed. However, if the restock date will be kept the first two tints should arrive in 3 days, then four tints the next day and the rest two days after that.
I don’t know how big the shipment will be so keep an eye out

Don’t agree. For the price build quality is decent. The UI is the typical cheap one though: high, low, strobe, off. I consider this light a good modding host, I am working at a replacement driver.

Ok, thing is subjective anyway

Not rechargeable, not zoomie, not particular light - had their general build quality in mind

Was able to get the Convoy L2 (neutral/warm white) thanks to petemer’s code.

Convoy L2 = forward clicky switch
low, med, high (consecutive half-press to go to next higher mode, but not too quickly as to register as a double half-press); then fully depress turns on at the selected mode
to get ‘strobe’, (double-half-press quickly), then fully depress turns on at ‘strobe’ mode

Unfortunately, since it’s a forward-clicky, once the mode (eg. low/med/high/strobe) is selected, to go to another mode requires fully depressing the button to turn off, then do the above again. Has Mode Memory though (I think Strobe is also memorized).

Half-pressing the button while the L2 is already turned on appears not to do anything — is this always true of forward-clicky switches? since this seems to be my first forward-clicky flashlight.

Regarding quality: the fins part (head of flashlight for heat dissipation), anodization seems not too well done, after testing out the flashlight a bit (I haven’t dropped the flashlight; though I may have the flashlight ‘bump’ very slightly with another flashlight since I was comparing the beams with my other flashlights with my hands full; the other flashlights anodization is still intact no scratches at all), I notice the anodization starts to “fall off” (becomes tiny aluminum-white scratches) in the fins portion already, but the rest of the body appears to still be OK (still black).

try double half press, that sounds like the same UI as the S2+, after its on for a few seconds it does that, when you first turn it on you can single half press to switch modes.
