On the ’02, you definitely don’t want the shoe (plastic thingy the lens itself snaps into). Same as in an S2+.
The ’02 doesn’t have it, and the come-with TIR just drops out, and the new one just drops in. Dunno if it’d even fit in the hole with the shoe, and doubt it’d be able to be screwed down tight if it would.
Bonus is that these 20mm TIRs will also fit the S2+ as I mentioned. Blends the light so much better than a reflector, no more fried-egg beam, and the 4C is a beautiful CT/tint. Like warm sunlight…
Just tested the charging mechanism of the Boruit RJ-02, it charges quite slow ~0.60A max, but seems like a good charge curve. (using EBD-USB+ to monitor the charge rate)
(tested a cell I got from a powerbank, that 18650 I’ve already tested to be around 2300mAh with another analyzing charger)
Upon fully charged from the RJ-02 (indicator just turned green), I took the battery out and checked that it’s really close to 4.20v; and just to test how “fully” charged it was, I tried to charge the “just-freshly-charged-from-RJ-02” 18650 on my analyzing charger, and it was able to charge only another 10mAh into the cell, meaning it really charges cells to full.
I measured 1.40A on the Boruit RJ-02’s tailcap current with a freshly-charged battery.
If I recall correctly, the RJ-02 does not appear to have low-voltage protection, so it may run down the battery if left on. (maybe someone can confirm?)
