Yes I'm telling you when you finally get the whole one of these lights in your hand you can feel how well it's made see how well it's made and then you push that button kick it into turbo...lol you will see why I get so excited about this light.
Finally a light that is in the 15k lumen range the other 1k meter thrower that does what is claimed and it is still affordable.
Another thing that Dale will be announcing very soon is you will have service options that none of us have had in the past if we purchased a light from a China based retailer.
Some great changes coming... sorry that's really all I can say until Dale announces the future plans...
When are you gonna tear it down? Do you think the stock driver is good??
I don't want to do a tear down until after both lights have been tested and I get the data posted for everyone. If I made even a tiny mistake I do not have the parts here to repair anything that may be damaged.
It's a TA style driver and I know the company consulted with the best around for that.. So I would say that the drivers in use now are rock solid..
I know they had driver issues in the past really that was probably the single biggest problem.
Dale and the company made a great decision in consulting with people that could show the company a solution.
Many things have changed with Haikelite and more changes still to come.
Yep, unfortunately I have an 8 out of 9 fail rate (serious) with Haikelite. :person_facepalming:
I hope they get it right from now on starting with the MT09R.
The MT09R is almost what we could view as the start of a new beginning. The company is very excited about things that are changing. Future models and things the R&D guy are working on.
If I believed at all that there was a chance of problems or issues coming with the new products I would never put this much effort into getting the lights into the hands of a group of people that I have grown to trust and I hope some have grown to trust me.
We will never all agree on everything that is the nature of what we do and who we are. It is also what keeps companies always pushing for the cutting edge.
And remember... If for some outside chance there is a service problem. Things are being put into place to handle that in a way it has not been down before. The bottom line on that is there will be NO service issues.
I can't go into details but it will not be at all like it was in the past.
You are gonna love this light... LOL I still get a kick every time I hit the turbo. And watching the faces of anyone close by is priceless..
Well I hope you’re right. Even with a high fail rate I’m still interested in the MT09R. :sunglasses: I sure would like to know what the service thing is before this group buy ends, so I can enjoy the MT09R without worries.

BTW, The blue is now real navy blue. Cause many customers suggested us to do a custom-navy-blue. In china we call it dark blue.

What are the LEDs on the charger for?
Where is it screwed on the flashlight? In Exchange with the tailcap?

The leds are SMD leds , just 150 lumens total for camping light use. This charging unit wont have custom problem.
It’s in exchange with the head. This unit is still in production, we will see if we can make it shipped with the group buy, in which we offer special low cost-price for participants. If it’s not in time, we will ship out the flashlight first and ship it separately later
After that , we will offer the charging unit separately , which can use it on MT03/ MT07 / MT07S as well. People can buy it from native USA / Germany/Japan / South Africa/Thailand dealers later. In fact We are negotiating with dealers about offering 2-year aftersale service for all haikelite products. They will stock enough new lights and accessories to offer good service.
Colors are limited quantity ,All colors are less than 100 pcs. In the future we only supply black and white version for MT09R.
I will ask terry to update the buyer list tonight. So people will know how many left for limited custom-colors.

I like the original blue way better. It was different from other lights. This dark blue looks like Jetbeam now
