[PART 1] Official BLF GT Group Buy thread. Group buy officially closed! Lights shipping.

Maybe DHL is too expensive for some countries,so they changed to FedEx only them.
If that is the case, it would be nice to know what countries will be diverted to FedEx?

Thanks
Nikola

I’m not sure what your asking, but each GT includes one of these screw in lanyard rings.

Lots of places sell similar items.

They said they were researching drone use, not space use. Lol

Hey, a guy can dream :stuck_out_tongue:

Mine arrived with the ring already installed.

After reading some of the posts concerning the tint can anyone do a comparison of the 4000K XHP35 in the GT and a 4000K XPL HI V2 in say, an Emisar D1/D1S? For extra internet respect, maybe a beamshot comparison? Thanks in advance

+1

Thanks for the update!

chrisc must have missed quoting your post here:

Tuigali is in the United Kingdom hence chrisc’s reply.

I had a look and here’s a few UK orders on the first paid list and the options selected:
chrisc 86 DHL no batteries
Jinx/Jeansy 62 DHL no batteries
Dydi92 418 DHL with batteries
Tuigali 591 DHL with batteries
bella-headlight 496 Registered no batteries
gravelmonkey 308 Registered no batteries
G0OSE 47 Registered no batteries
Essexman 412 Registered with batteries

If batteries are going to be an issue, am I better paying the extra $2.50 shipping and ordering them separately from M4DM4X?

UK buyers - please let us know how it goes with customs fees!

Yeah thanks I was getting annoyed at multi quote not working how it does on other forums.

You commented it being odd about it not being DHL
I commented that DHL is a bit iffy with cells in the UK

I messaged Neal about changing my shipping from registered to DHL yesterday morning. A few hours ago he responded that all US order should have shipped. Not sure if my shipping was changed, but at least all the US people still waiting (including me) at least have theirs on the way.

I wonder how Neal chooses whom to answer, and who does not, he never answered me.

Comparing a 4000K tint in an XP-L to one in the XHP-35 wouldn’t be an apples to apples comparison as the binning is done differently.

With the 4 die XHP-35 the McAdams curve is used so with the 35 there is a blending of tints from the 4 dies. Hence, the binning would cover a broad range from 5A to 5D, including 5B and 5C.

With the XP-L, you would buy a specific bin, so the actual output tint would then be more purely based on one’s bin selection.

EDIT: Also worthy to note that the 4000K is only available, as indicated by the chart, in a 5-step binning, where the warmer 80 and 90 CRI emitters have a tighter 3-step offering that keeps the bin closer to the black body line.

From the list of 555 Dhl all got a flashlight?

Not yet, there are still some from the first 555 waiting…

Thank you! Nobody asked when Lumintop goes to holidays? I’m afraid this may drag on until April… :person_facepalming:

They are trying to get all lights shipped. Seems to me they are trying pretty hard. I’m very glad it’s not MY nightmare, much much easier for me to sit on this side of the globe and mod lights.

You’re lucky, not that I’m sitting in this hole) where only one fan of flashlights for the whole country

Borat is not into flashlight?

500 of the first 850 got shipped. Most people from the front half, but not all, got their light shipped. Still 350 to go, mostly from the back half of the list.

Once we hear some more tracking/shipping info from people, we can then confirm the 4th shipment has happened.
