Works for me then. :+1:
I agree with M4DM4X…. LIMIT Future Group Buys to 150 - 250 people.
Will edit my original post to show total support of M4DM4X’s idea.

It appears the alternate method I presented is unpopular with a few. So be it….
I totally agree with the idea M4DM4X presents in the quote below. “maybe we better limit future group buys to 150 to 250 units…”
For me the whole GB process from design, production and payment went very well, with compliments to the team and Lumintop. It’s my first GB but I am impressed by the way things went. I should say, keep it that way. Things to improve are shipping and communication. I will not go in too deep, as TA says, no more drama. I’ll get to that later after the GB has ended. My advice, don’t judge people, they all love this GT, some are patient others are not. Some complain, others are silent. But at the end we have the same passion for this special thrower. If you were one of the lucky ones that got the GT the first week of 2018, be happy, but have some empathy for the ones who have to wait till mid February all though they were in the project from the early beginning.
Which country has only a few(1-3) orders, why are they waiting for delivery (DHL)? I wanted to get the lamp fast, so I ordered DHL delivery. I have to pay VAT shipping fees, this is not a problem for me either.
But Neal does not respond to an email, Lumintop tells him he’s sending this week. My question is which week?
I am very happy for those who have received their lamps! But you should understand the people who ordered DHL for fast delivery, but there is still no news of the lamp.
Remember you are not alone. They are just finishing the DHL orders this week from what they told me. So there are at least another ~125 people in your shoes.
This is simply due to the slow reflector delivery process, they just can’t get enough for everyone.
What I am curious about, I want to use the GT with 4 batteries, I guess near the tailcap. How does that feel? A bit in balance, or does it feels much better with 8 batteries?
With batteries in the rear carrier configuration only, balance is near a flat plane. For me the light feels good with my hand hold at/around the button area.
With 8 batteries the mass feels over weight. Something we have to accept for better run times.
Yeah, I’m still waiting (patiently?) for mine, but so far no news
A friend who lives 200 miles up the road got his almost 2 weeks ago so I was hoping I’d get mine soon.
If it boils down to the entire process teaching some new techniques that improve the product over the course of this group buy, would it be possible in the end to purchase a new reflector or other parts? I don’t have an issue with my reflector, but am sort of on the OCD side and if there’s a “near perfect” one being made at the end of all this I’d sure like to procure one.
I know Lumintop will want to sit down and take a breather at the end of this, and of course I’ll be in no particular hurry, just saying that it’d be nice if some parts would be individually available.
Seems to me it would have been beneficial to stick to a pre-determined final quantity for the group buy. Be that 555 or 250 or whatever, it did seem to go on a long time and at the back end of it all the numbers of people signing in went a bit crazy. I’d like to see Lumintop make money on these so they will be happy to work with us in the future, hope this “ordeal” hasn’t soured anything.
