Keisari, Kawiboy is pulling 22 amps through his 6V XHP-70, figure the wattage on that little oven why don’t you?
Tomorrow a couple of friends from here are coming up from the coast and we’ll be doing an emitter swap in their GT’s. I have mine and one I bought for a gift so we’ll have 4 GT’s to play with. Plan on getting some photo’s.
Including that tripod adapter for the strap was a really good idea. Earlier I posted about making sure there’s enough depth so it wouldn’t have the problem I have with my Q8. By including the adapter, they bypass the issue. I doubt they caught my comment, so kudos to them for thinking ahead.
Normally 11/2 times the diameter for the depth of thread, 1/4-20 x 1.5= .375” (3/8”) is pretty much a standard minimum of thread engagement unless other wise noted by engineering. At least where I work.
I know DB knows, but for anyone else curious, I’d estimate about 160 “ish” watts. I’m not sure what the voltage sag is, but probably less than a pair of 26650 which tend to pull 17 to 19 amps (with 6v xhp70.2).
I am in the first 555 paid, registered shipping, no batteries to the UK & have not been posting in this thread just patiently waiting
Am I right in thinking that the last of the first 555 DHL shipments have now been made & that next week the first of the non USA non DHL shipments will be sent ?
Thanks Jason as that was why I asked as I have found this thread a little difficult to follow where shipping is concerned.
So most of the first 555 have been shipped ?
Hopefully in the next week or 2 there will be another 2 shipments of around 150 units each which hopefully will start to include the registered shipping ones ?
I am just hoping that mine gets shipped before Chinese new year as registered will mean that it will take about 4 weeks without any hold ups so I am hoping that I might get it by the end of Feb/early March ?
I finally made some time to try mine out, and I’m quite sure this is my best thrower by far without even testing it against my other throwers. Not that I have a bunch of awesome throwers…
haha lol, the registered GT’s are even bigger! Let’s hope the motorcycle with steering wheel doesn’t brake down. I will notify them (although they got thousands of mails) that France has “peage” and they better come to The Netherlands first. :)
