[PART 1] Official BLF GT Group Buy thread. Group buy officially closed! Lights shipping.

Just received mine  Batteries included.

Adelaide, AU. 881 on interest list.

Selected DHL, local courier was TNT.

I think I am a pretty patient guy, but I am starting to get a little itchy as well.
I paid on dec. 2nd and still my light has not been shipped (registered, Netherlands).

Is there at least a better indication of when the last batch will be shipped? I was hoping it would at least be shipped within two months after payment :frowning:

I see people modding it. People requesting when they can pay for the 2nd list entries. But ours has not even shipped yet…

I am turning up my living room lights to max, just to avoid depression :stuck_out_tongue:

It will be $157 total.

From post #1.

The next group (3rd batch) to purchase lights (#1050 and up on the list or who signed up after 10/23/17) will get their emails late January to early Feb in order to let Neal get caught up with current orders. Since Chinese New Year is quickly approaching, Texas_Ace may wait unto late February. No final decision has been made yet.

We have 60 people too many signed up for this last batch of Group Buy lights. So if 60 people drop out, everyone else will get one.

If 60 people do not drop out, then the last 60 or so to try and pay might be the ones left out.

Let me update this answer by saying to read the above post.

Thanks guys for the price info.

UK members have a look at Neal’s post !

I will not be purchasing a second GT, please give my spot to one of the people that may be left out… Thanks!

There are no guaranteed spots. All you or anyone has to do is NOT purchase. That’s all. :+1:

Got mine this afternoon! I knew this light was big but didn’t fully appreciate just how big it was until I got it in my hands. It’s awesome!

My led is slightly off centre as well, I will do what was done on the previous page and put a smaller centering ring within the larger one.

Lumintop should avoid this problem for it will not speak well of them as a fine flashlight maker if they can’t even center the led…it’s just like buying a new car however it veers to one side all the time.

People in U.K seems little sleepy, today but it’s 7am there. I am not sure how customs will react if they received same package again but with different value?

I was thinking a few people in the UK had received their lights………

What is the reason for the registered mail lights to be shipped out last? And is this last of the batch or will people from the next batch (who selected another shipping method) also get their lights first? I’m 335th on the list and paid on December 8th. It would be nice to be informed of the procedure and current status (and I think more people also would like this and that would reduce the amount of posts in this thread drastically).

Edit: found this post of Texas Ace which explains it a bit [PART 1] Official BLF GT Group Buy thread. Group buy officially closed! Lights shipping. - #16542 by Texas_Ace

In my naivety I assumed that the lights would be shipped in the order of the original list and did not mind to wait a few weeks extra compared to expedited shipping but if I had known that the shipping method had an influence on the order then I might have chosen otherwise…

2 UK members, chrisc & somebody else, whose name escapes me, received their DHL lights but via TNT I think, with no fees incurred.
They are the only UK members in possession of a GT yet as far as I know.
Is it just Tuigli”s light that keeps being returned ?
If you declare the light at $50 then UK members will be charged 20% vat plus a shipping company handling fee for which DHL charge about $25 for processing the fee (not sure about TNT).
So that would be about an extra $35 dollars.
Also if you suddenly change the value of an item that has already been returned twice marked $25 to $50 dollars I think that you will raise the customs suspicions & possibly jeopardise the remaining shipments which are all registered shipping I think as the majority of UK buyers chose registered to avoid the increased costs.
Just my thoughts.

Also just a thought, is Tuigli”s light one with batteries as I think that the 2 UK ones received so far are without batteries ?
My thoughts would be that if you are going to mark UK lights as being $50 dollars you may as well change all UK registered parcels to DHL at the same time as fees are going to be incurred & we may as well get the light quickly & pay fees rather than wait 4-6 weeks for registered delivery & pay fees.
Just my thoughts & opinion & I am only speaking for myself of course.

I received my light via TNT invoice was marked $25 I guess Chrisc and myself can count ourselves lucky with no other charges involved

Yes terry b was the other member & it was TNT not Fedex, my mistake, I knew it wasn”t DHL.
Both without batteries ?
