5th Annual BLF / Old Lumens Scratch Made Light Contest - Official People's Choice Award - VOTE NOW!

Very nice work showcased here. I really wish I would have built mine this year. Maybe next year I’ll have the time to work on it.

Amazing stuff guys…all of you! Good thing I have 2 weeks to attempt to figure out which I like best.

I’ve been reading almost all building threads from this “contest” since their beginning, and I must say that I am trully impressed!!
Not only because of the building capacity - imagining the “final” results, designing and implementing all the process, putting everything together -, but also for the courage to make these flashaholic products, “risking”/applying your personal time in such a way in the “hobby”!!

I want to congratulate the winners, but I also want to leave my word of encouragement to all of you that, for one reason or another, didn’t manage to finish your ideas! Please, bring them up, and present us with more amazing stuff! :+1:

I didn’t “met” Old-Lumens, I arrived late to this place, but this contest is truly an inspiration and also a challenge, a “dare”, and - for what I’ve read and saw here and in his own Youtube channel - a true homage!! He is surely proud of the legacy

Thanks for the inspiration, thanks for the courage, thanks for sharing your knowledge

Congratulations to all! :+1:

Looks like CRX is the clear winner here, & very well deserved at that!

Thanks FmC.
I didn’t expect to win this too again and I still have too many lights already so was thinking about doing a select giveaway of some sort with this prize if ever confirmed :stuck_out_tongue:

Congrats! The prize is yours so feel free to give it away. You can even let the winner of the giveaway to select the prize he wants…

We have a winner!

MascaratumB

Who I believe has chosen to receive the Acebeam H20 Headlamp.

Please contact member _ the _ with your details :THUMBS-UP:

Congrats MascaratumB!

Of course, you are now obliged to participate in this year’s comp

Thanks for this GAW, CRX, and I’m still in shock :open_mouth:
I will give a good use to that light and I will shut my lights off and using later in the night in the head to write down its review on BLF :sunglasses:

Well, I’d like but…let’s see if it will happen
I have a PhD to end within this year so time will narrow a bit from now on until the end of the year! BUT, if I can, if I have the materials and resources, and if I don’t lack the ideas, I’ll enter

Seeing all the builds from this year was truly an inspiration and I hope that someday I can make one too

Congratulations to the all of you that entered the “contest”!
And thank you again, CRX :sunglasses:

Congrats MascaratumB!

Headlamp shipped. Hope you will enjoy it!

Thank you _ the _  I will for sure
I’ll let you and CRX know when it arrives!

Thank you both :+1: :sunglasses:

My gift from CRX’s giveaway arrived today
And it had an extra gift, an AAA flashlight, similar to BLF 348, but in a more NW version!
Thank you, again, CRX for it and thank you _ the _ for sending it! :+1:

:+1:  @ CRX

Hey cool  :+1: I hope you like them, thanks for letting us know you got them ok

It’s perfectly acceptable to rob the LED’s & drivers out of them to use in the next scratch build contest… just sayin’ :innocent:

Good one, CRX :+1:

…that reminds me, I’m overdue for a 2K post GAW….

I believe you have a BLF GT FmC. That would make an orsm gift in a giveaway. Your the best.

Oooh, I didn’t think of that…

+1000
Even if it wasn’t me the winner I would :+1: for the action !!!

I do, i really do, and the funny thing is: I was looking both for a headlamp and a AAA flashlight!!! So how about that?
The headlamp has a very nice feel and “wonderful” tint that I really like, and the AAA light will probably be my pocket light, thin, one mode, enough to use in emergency for close range!

Thank you once again

Eheheh, you’re still tempting me :smiling_imp:
I will see what I can do, but the interiors wouldn’t be the biggest issue  The body, on the other hand… :person_facepalming:

Thanks for the encouragement!

And thanks to all :+1:
