The guitar playing in that ’73 live version of Hocus Pocus was incredible. It’s quite a bit faster than the album version and a shame they didn’t have him shredding on the radio edit.
My wife and I like to look through youtube for cover versions of classic songs, sometimes there are some decent versions but usually not.
We could never find a decent cover of Frankenstein by the Edgar Winter Group so here’s a fun live version by them.

Thanks for the memories Bonham! G.F. was one of my all time favorites. Couldn’t get enough of them when I was discharged from the Marine Corps in 1970. Almost went deaf blasting their music through my headphones back then. Needed to listen to them with the volume at “11”. 
They were the #1 live act in the world for a time selling out huge venues in minutes.
Farner was not the greatest guitarist in the world but so raw and knew what to do with the talent he had. Same with his voice. Never forget sometimes after a long, long finishing sustained note on his harmonica, he would rear back and fling it into the crowd. Wish I could have caught one!
One of the greatest “power trios”, (as they called them at the time), ever. I think Farner is the only surviving member of the band now.

With reference to Focus and Jan Akkerman at start of this post, they were a great band, and great song!
If you like a bit of comedy TV, there is a hilarious UK show “Saxondale” with Steve Coogan where he plays an old roadie from the 70’s.
He makes reference to a lot of bands like Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Genesis, Pink Floyd etc…
The song Hocus Pocus is used in the theme song.
Well worth watching if you can get it somewhere…
