MF-01 shot = INSANE!
Patmurris, that Astrolux MF-01 pic is incredible! Looks almost like daylight! Is the TA Narsil driver a whole lot brighter than the stock Astrolux driver?

Before the mod i was measuring barely 8k lumen - on a rough conservative ceiling bounce/luxmeter test, now it’s 13k+ at startup.
It remains to be seen how it handles the heat and current over time. I don’t plan to torture test it. I’m just glad to have the extra power. I’ll certainly be cautious using turbo. 
Edit: looking at the picts i’m wondering whether something is biased… That MF-01 shot seems too over exposed compared to the Q8… I’ll shoot them again. 
That TA driver is awesome. But what is the practical max lumens setting to use on that driver that won’t step down?

Mf01 nichia with TA driver and vtc5a’s should be 17000 lumens on startup.

Is it possible to purchase the head only? I already have a MF02 and wanted a dual head light.
I’ve only seen the MT35/MF02 head sold seperately. I haven’t seen it the other way around.
Mine tops at 13-14k with 30Qs.
Honestly it is more then enough and probably way too much considering the heat and lack of deep fins on the head.
Bangood is now selling it for $77.95 without coupon. I bought mine yesterday with the coupon though.

hiKARInoob, did you measure those values? So V2 is dimmer than V1? I just received my MF01 219c today so I’m assuming it is V2. It’s smaller than I expected and the tint is slightly less yellow the the 219c on my S42.
