Sony VTC6A 3000mah,will you choose it?

we have some Vc7 in stock, hope vtc7 will arrive soon

LG D1 and e1 is nice and cheap, but few battery is 4.35v

P=UI. will have more power

I’d be quite interested if HKJ tests show that it has a high drain performance at least equal to vtc5A. Then it’d be better because of the higher capacity.

So I’ll wait for his tests. Of course one must find a vendor that ships to his country, which is becoming increasingly difficult…

Interested depending on price and shipping

Is there a point where some of these high drain batteries might provide too much amperage for lights that use direct drive FETs?

Yes.
You’ll need a REAL driver.

Well yes and no, depending on configuration of host, emitters, thermal path with cooling etc.
Due to new generation of emitters that have forward voltage less than 3.5V at 6A or more you will probably need current regulated driver. Member led4power have great solutions with his regulated linear constant current drivers with a configurable option of direct drive on “Turbo” for 3V emitters and in near future 6v and 12V as well.
For more information search for “LD-4 CC linear drivers”.

Yes. I will choose vtc6a if the battery spec is same as vtc5a… extra mah.

So it seems between VTC6 and VTC5A in both IR and capacity; at very high currents a batter tradeoff than either of them. Definitely a very good cell, but since I have both VTC5A and VTC6, I see no need for this one. Especially that I don’t have any light that would draw 20A / cell. Let alone one that would do so continuously.

If I could afford only 1 high-current cell type, this would most likely be VTC6A.
If I was not constrained by budget, I would get VTC6 + VTC6A + VTC5A.
Well, I’m between and what I have now seems the best choice.

If they are not totally overpriced and locally available I will buy 4 cells to try them out.

Where do you buy these?

I want to buy this vtc6a

Any news?

VTC5D maybe?

PRELIMINARY Bench Test Results: Sony VTC5D 18650...around 25A, 2700mAh-2800mAh, beats VTC5A @ E-CigaretteForums

Cheers :-)

How much is it? if is cheap , i will choose it

Cheap and Sony usually aren't synonymous, imho.

Cheers :-)

Any idea if these will ever be purchasable? I’ve been holding off buying the VTC6 for awhile in anticipation of these.

Does this new Vapcell look like a rewrapped VTC6A?

A 21700 cell and 4000mah. Looks similar to the Samsung 40T.
