upcoming: Lumintop Tool AA copper

Works pretty fine on this :wink:

But - as I mentioned in another thread - imagine a Tool AA like the Tool AAA Ti (e-switch and metal button) with Crescendo, Anduril, Narsil FW… OMG :heart_eyes: :blush:

Anduril should be standard in the flashlight industry XD

I wish my attempts to flash it on my D4 and D1 hadn’t failed

I would buy the Tool AA if it came in warm white and if they improve the horrible UI in the Tool AAA. I bought a bunch of Tool AAA and I don’t use it because operation sucks and the low mode is much too bright for nightime use.

I’d be interested to see this happen. An improved driver featuring one of BLF’s latest and finest user interfaces would make this a very nice light in copper. :heart_eyes:

Would be nice, wouldn’t it? :wink:

I guess…BLF teams have been working with Lumintop on the GT and FW3A projects. So I wonder if this could be a next project for a AA/14500 light like the Tool AA (in a improved version) :wink:

High CRI LED, better driver and better UI (BLF made)! Copper, SS, Titanium, Brass, Aliminium, whatever…: it would be incredible :smiley:

And all my other lights would start crying on a shelf :smiley:

Maybe they would be open to a new collaboration on this! Many members here (me included) would “finally” find some things that have been seeked for “years”!

But this is just my opinion :wink:

Stop making me drool please !
You’ve listed what I want in an EDC light (basically, Narsil in an AA flashlight with tail e-switch)

:smiley: :smiling_imp:
Now you feel my pain :smiley:
And I guess we are not the only ones around! This light with the mentioned specs (Anduril / Narsil) would be :heart_eyes:

If Lumintop was willing to make this…the community would probably get a huge smile :wink:

Maybe it’s time to start a poll ?

Lumintop should just hire Toykeeper already

^This

Hum, I have no experiences, making polls! :person_facepalming:
Are you able to do it?

If so, what will it consist of?
I’m interested on this, I want to “make” that light you mentioned on the other thread :heart_eyes:

In a reply to Victor Zhou of Lumintop, and in the sequence of the previous conversation here, I suggested him something like this:
A Lumintop Tool AA (AA/14500) with:

- Copper, Brass or Stainless Steel body;

- Nichia or other high CRI Led;

- Electronic Switch;

  • Ramping firmware, like the one that will be implemented on the FW3A (the TLF / BLF special light that Lumintop is working with currently)

I don’t know if my “voice” will be heard, or if this is a desirable thing, but I did it! Let’s see if we have an answer from the other side :+1:

Sounds nice, although I personally prefer a tailclicky for EDC.
I have the Tool AAA titanium. It looks great, but can easily be activated by accident and drain the cell. For that reason I never used it much. And a 4x click before activation wouldn’t be great for EDC IMHO. But it’s all personal preference.

I do hope a NW copper version will be made with a driver that offers voltage check and LMH sequence, preferably with moonmode.

Hum, I know what you mean! The accidental activation is due to the shape of the tail (flat)? Maybe that coul be improved in new versions.

My suggestion was in that way , but I would be happy to have only 4 or 5 modes (with a nice moonlight and a good “turbo”).
I started using another light (18350/18650) with the guppy3drv firmware and chose 3 modes + double click for turbo, and it is a light I’ve started using with more frequency.
Putting that in a Tool AA form would be nice as well.

However, as Lumintop has been working with BLF on the GT and FW3A, and both have ramping firmwares, I decided to risk it! Not sure if it will raise any fruits (with those specs or others), but maybe they try something different for those searching for and AA/14500 light :wink:

BTW, the tool AAA is a sweet looking light :blush:
And I agree with you, NW tint would be awesome as well!!

FW3A ramping firmware would be awesome. I already bought 4 Tool AA and have both mechanical and electrical tail switch versions. The UI is horrible on all of them so I never use them. If they implement FW3A firmware and warm HI-CRI versions with true moonlight mode I will buy a bunch more for sure.

Anyone have an update on a timeframe for this? I’m definitely interested even if just for use as a host…

yeah what happend, no copper of this ? :frowning:

i did not see one :(

noooooo what a shame
