I’m new to flashlights, so none of mine have scuffs and bruises, but I like items that shared moments with me and one day I’ll be adding to this list. For now, I’m enjoying the pictures

That brass K18 is my MOST used light. In my vest in the summer and my hoodie in the winter.
Just ordered the upgraded version from HK.
I’ll see how I can mess up that bling.
CRX, no idea why it would be so but on the occasion I am forced out of bed early by pain and use my Gen 1 iPad to peruse the forum your posts, and yours alone, have an impossibly long blank space after your signature line. I mean 100 swipes or more to get down to the next post! Any ideas why this Apple device would show that (safari)?
emarkd, that “torched” ti torch came out genuinely unique! Interesting…
Edit: CRX, it literally just took 289 swipes to get from the white space under yor sig to the next post! The page marker on the right of my screen indicates virtually an entire page taken up by blank space… the forum layout is there but the text field is empty… white blank space.
Well, that image in CRX’s sig is, at time of my posting this, ~9000 pixels wide. It is probably surfacing a bug in the very old (and insecure) version of Safari on a Gen 1 iPad.
I have been underground again, but the main objective had to be postponed due to lack of ice to safely climb up into the tunnel where all the muck is. Instead we spent our time at bottom level taking some photos and exploring. The lights I used didn’t get very dirty at all, but still took a photo of them once home again:
THIS…is the most glorious looking E12 I have ever seen. Glad it’s serving you so well. Such a cool, simple, and tough light. It always reminds me of the old school Fenix L1D
Im not trying to be rude, I am asking in earnest……
why would anyone grind, batter, rock bath or otherwise abuse a light or any other tool to make it look used? why not use it and let life provide the tarnish?
seems kinda poser-ish IMO.
my favorite shotgun (Remington 1100) has a big scratch on the stock where I dragged it over a fence when I was a teenager.
I don’t like the scratch but it is a memory and a reminder to be careful with my belongings.

I agree with this and would never intentionally beat my tools or anything else to make them look worn/used. BUT, with that being said, I have to admit that I think i42dk’s UltraFire, and Emisar D4’s that were posted on page 1 look really good scuffed up like that.
