OLD Time Knife PORN !!!!

Camillus Cam-Lok …

Yes there was a Stockman cam lock as well , rather rare id say . ( Have not seen many - ever - for sale … )
These are my two …

When one of my (really old) relative passed away, I found this at his place :

unusual opening/locking mechanism.

Wow ! That is so amazing …

My old doukdouk

Does this count? :stuck_out_tongue:

Looks very interesting , don’t think I have seen this one before …

Not mine but I really like this old knife pattern

Looks like it was popular decades ago in French cutlery.
Also popular traditional design in South Africa, the Okapi knife.
Cold Steel makes a modern version, the Kudu (it’s quite big)

The cold steel …
I thought there was a smaller one ?
Was thinking of getting one …

Might be time to troll for knives once again .

WW2 navy pilots survival knife

I don’t know, but they also had the Eland with is even bigger than the Kudu (5,25” blade and 4,25” respectively)

So the smaller one is still the Kudu :smiling_imp:

Posted pictures of my 716 here

3 generations of Opinel :

Old Victoria SAK (old Victorinox)
Estimated between 1909 and 1921.

Stainless steel was used starting in 1921.
The tang stamp on your knife was used between 1935-1951
Very nice knife

well used! :smiling_imp:

As a kid, my dog loved to chew my Opinel handles, and my Mom loved to use knives as a pry-bar, so broken tips here and there :smiling_imp:

Well, Opinel are beater knives for sure. 8€ for a 7 size is cheap anyway
