BLF 15% discount Code for IMR batteries site

If we can’t get the code could we at least get a code.
I have made a few purchases recently and there was no discount for buying in quantity. If I had a code I would probably up my order total and use them more often. I can purchase from other US based stores and get a discount when I purchase more batteries.

Yeah, a code would be great. It would somewhat offset their fairly high shipping charges.

My last purchase from IMR was 8-Efest 3500mah. It did sting a bit!
If I had a code at the time, I would have spent more!

Anyone got any reccomendations for another site with great 18650 protected cells? That’s a real shame on the code. Going to try gearbest, banggood, or dealextreme

Kill the messenger !!!

Where’s my pitchfork ?

Liionwholesale and Mtnelectronics.
Both in the US.

IMRBatteries is a great place to buy batteries in the states .
we are just BUDGETlightforums and are cheap enough to complain over losing such a small discount .
The Chinese sites you mentioned (except deal extreme)are cheaper if you’re willing to wait . IMRbatteries is a really nice source to have .

I got: “The gift certificate or coupon code is invalid”

Too bad they don’t ship to the Philippines. Well, it is what it is.

Well, the 15% code did not work for me either, however they were the only place that had the Sony VTC5a’s in stock, hopefully, the fact that they have stock when other places don’t is just how things worked out, and not an indication that there should be any problems w/those batteries.

You are fine ordering from them. I’ve never had any problems

The Code has been disabled for over a year folks. At last report it will not be coming back.
Still a great & trustworthy place to order from.

Last Report

I just tried the code. It now says “the code has been disabled so it cannot be used”

I asked Jason about getting a code back for the forum just before Christmas (2017) and he said the big guy (his boss) was not issuing any codes because of the “bulk rate” pricing they changed over to.
In other words the more you buy the bigger the discount , is the way it is supposed to work.

Unfortunately for those of us who only buy 2 cells up to half a dozen at a time , usually the bulk pricing just really does not help us.

If I am ever able to get another code I will be sure it is posted immediately.

For now though I will usually rather pay a dollar or so a cell more to get the faster delivery and not have to deal with all the waiting from the overseas shipping especially if I am getting 6 or less cells.

EDIT: If you keep an eye on their site they DO run some killer sales at times. I got six LG HE4’s for $3.50 each when they stopped carrying the button top ones several months back.

I’m sure that did sting. Why not buy the original name brand cells underneath instead of 2 dollars more per cell or higher for a rewrapped lower grade cell. Most cells that the public gets are b grade anyways. The a grades all go for oem use. But efest abd imren buy the cheap low b and c grade cells and sell them higher then the parent cell underneath would be. 3500 it’s either a GA, mj1, or 35 e. Or wouldn’t surprise me given efest reputation if it’s Panasonic ncr b cells. But hopefully not and Probsbly not. They purchase the c grade cells for around 20 cents a piece then charge you up to 10 dollars for it. Insane profit margins those 3 cells are around 5-6 dollars a cell. Just guessing those efest were probably 8 9 dollars a piece?

Take a read at this. Efest and other constantly get busted for putting in crap cells. Just in October there 20 amp cell was the Panasonic be cell rated at 6 amps. This explains rewrapped, hell you could probably buy your own efest shrink wrap for 10 cents a piece and save money and make your own efest batteries just like they do.

Yes, I have areas I need to grasp yet, concerning some batteries. After buying the Efest ($8.50/ea) I did find where they are over rated and there are better for less. Was I frustrated, yes, but I’m not kicking rocks about it.
Place me in the “lesser lumen” category range of knowledge when it has to do with this hobby. For now anyway.

Yeah I’m done buying Efest, they used to be the shit, back in the day, not anymore. I run a lot of 2S and 4S lights, mostly used the Efest 14500’s 18350’s 18500’s 26500’s and 26650’s now some less then a year old most 2 years old, the voltage IR and capacity is to far apart for me to use them safely. Some have 5-10 charges on them. I buy cells for the intended light/build and they stay as a set for that light. I base this also on the Efest Purple 26650’s 4200-3500’s and some 26500’s I bought 3-4 years ago, that are still top notch in capacity, IR and voltage to this day. I keep a close eye on my cell’s because I have too!

It’s OK Weed Hopper…you will be learned

Now as quickly as you can snatch this $8.50 Efest cell from my hand…… :stuck_out_tongue:

I read on Battery Bros website that they sell only A-binned batteries but their minimum order quantity is 50. Do folks here ever do GBs with them based on the fact that they sell a premium product- hopefully? (Note that I’m unaware of their current pricing)

Looks like the “permanent” BLF15 coupon code is dead. Anyone know of any good codes?
