I thought this flashlight was €8.21318 (ie 8 euro 21 cent, I thought all decimal point was just conversion)
I tried to order but I think the payment failed.
Now I look at the dollar price and it says $9,999 (ie 10 thousand dollars !)
Since China is celebrating New Year, everything is shut down until the end of the February. Aliexpress sellers are not working, too. In order to stop people from making orders that won’t be fulfilled in at least 10-15 days, some sellers change all prices to some insane amounts or set all items to out of stock.
So I thought this $10k flashlight was €8.21 and tried to order :person_facepalming:
All the comments were saying it was about $10 so it seemed right :person_facepalming:
I didn’t actualy look at decimal separator knowing why the price was like that. And yes, it’s a locale thing. In my country we use decimal comma, and it appears that most of the (civilised) world uses decimal point. Since I’m into programming, I have my brain wired to use decimal point. As a result, I have a really hard time reading numbers in some local arbitrary format, so I understand you completely.
It was a dumb mistake on my part … I was just ordering quickly and my brain saw €8 + change.
Gearbest, Banggood etc use the separators I am familiar with so it didn’t even cross my mind to check this.
I guess they change to $9,999 instead of ‘out of stock’ because they figure nobody would be dumb enough to order at that price …. but I proved them wrong :person_facepalming:
I got my v2 of the Jaxmnve M3 in today. On one hand and I’m glad the strobe is no longer part main cycle. On the other hand this new third level they added was in between the existing middle and high levels. :person_facepalming:
They came so close to getting the UI right, but just missed it.
The v1 has 0.39A and 1.33A.
The v2 has 0.39A, 0.65A and 1.33A.
It’s kind of a waste of a level. It needs a 0.04A, 0.39A and 1.33A to have 3 well spaced levels. (0.04A is what I measured on the lowest part of the ramping)
I’m disappointed, but at least it’s a little better than the older version.
OK guys. Sad news. Seems like the seller doubled the price of the Jaxmnve M3.
Can anyone recommend other similar light with similar parameters (size, USB charging, batt included) under USD 15?
Anyone else have the rubber USB cover come completely out? Can’t seem to get it back in either, tried with a flat tip dental tool but no luck, poked about 8 holes through the end of the rubber post trying. The cover kept pulling open when I’d draw the light from clipped to the inside of my pocket. I don’t like the USB cover on this.
Also my light cuts out if you smack the tail, found this out using the magnetic tail, when I stick it to a metal surface it cuts out a for split second. I tried stretching the spring but no luck, I think it’s just the length and weakness of the spring. It’s not a big deal doesn’t really bother me, just wondered if anyone else noticed this.
