I never thought I’d get a smartwatch, but I did. It’s a Samsung S3 Gear Frontier. I purchased it based on the excellent reviews I’ve watched on youtube. Right now it’s charging, so I can’t give my opinion yet. I purchased it from BestBuy for $299.99
This is the only watch I own. My oldest son and my wife got it for me for fathers day 15 years or so ago. Don’t know if it’s a decent one or, a not so decent one. It’s the only watch I have ever owned or worn. Keeps good time and only needed 1 battery in 15 years.
Sad news about my newly purchased Hamilton mechanical watch. The crown shaft broke by simply winding it. It was most definitely not overwound. I returned it for a replacement or refund. I called my credit card and filed a dispute just in case Watchwearhouse gives me a hard time.
Wish me luck.
todd if its still going strong after 15yrs, its certainly a decent one! Priceless in fact
Liking the smart watch glenn, presume you can pick your display/hands…………very cool. I am still in the old ages i guess, auto’s mainly for me. Just something about them. Hope you get sorted with the Hamilton, sure you will………….damn i would have been gutted.
Love the seiko’s weklund, you certainly have some nice gear, watches, lights and no doubt knives! Maybe a mans worst 3 enemies to his wallet.
Today I have allow yourself this: Luminox SR-71 Blackbird; Bought used (new I couldn’t afford it) but it’s fine, I like it even if it’s a little heavy on the wrist.
My Hamilton Khaki Field Officer Watch is being repaired instead of replaced. watchweahouse.com claims it’s being repaired by their expert Hamilton repair guy. I told them I’m extremely picky as far as any evidence, scratches, accuracy, etc. The guy I spoke to assured me that they are picky as well. They said they will calibrate my watch as well. I was getting about 10 seconds fast a day which is good for a manual winding watch. Maybe they can get it better? I hope so.
It is quartz. I’m personally tired of manual and autowinding watches poor accuracy to be honest. The Seiko I ordered has an accuracy of plus or minus 15 seconds a month, typically only a few seconds compared to plus or minus 15 seconds a day for mechanical watches. Not only that, it gets minimum 5 years of battery life.
I recently ordered my first automatic watch, will post pics when I get it
This is the best automatic+skeleton watch that I could find for less than $500.
Wanted something where I could see the moving parts, such as the flywheel, second hand, and rotor.
Apparently the movement is pretty good too for the price.
