Well it seems that Santa was early in the Netherlands, because somebody rang my doorbell too. The pretty sturdy cardboard package was showing some signs of rough treatment, but that was all. And it was dry. On opening I noticed a minor ding on one of the cooling fins. But that was there before it went into the box, as there was no way that part of the head could get anywhere near the wall(s) of the box. BTW, because the staples are in the corners of the box(es), there was no danger of damaging the round item(s) inside.
So far so good. My 30Q’s are charging now. And then it’s time for some serious fooling around. Thanks, Team-Giggles!

My friend has the Pelican 7060 which has a good throw and bright light (white I think at about 4k )
I saw the Pelican 7600 which is 2 1/2 times the lumen and I think the throw was better.
I like that they are rechargeable 18650 with USB, water proof IPX8, and I believe they use theX-ld latest, ?
I am a newbie and still trying to understand and determine a great light at a fair price.
I have some properties I manage with large yards that have little or no light.
Also want to get another one or 2 lites for my family to use.
What do u think is a great value light?

The name of the seller is easy to remember, since somebody once pointed out that it sounds like ‘Garbage’.
(there is no such thing as an 18650 battery with 6000mAh capacity - or any lights running on a Cree XM-L T6 emitter that put out thousands of lumens)

I might have my info mixed up, but I was considering buying 3 lites and was looking at the pelican 7600 and was wondering if you or ANYONE on this thread, had any suggestions or a comprable light that might be even better than the 7600?

I wouldn’t trust any brand that claims their 18650 batteries have 6000mAh capacity (I think 3500mAh is still the maximum that’s possible), or who sell ‘Cree T6’ flashlights that allegedly put out 10,000 or 20,000 lumens. I doubt that the Cree XM-L T6 can be pushed much harder than about 1,000 lumens, and most of those cheap lights don’t even have genuine Cree LEDs, but inferior quality ones (‘LatticeBright’).
You are right.It seems that they put a very poor packaging,so as the Customs officials believe that the included item is of low value.

How big are the yards ?
What do your family members want to use the lights for ?
The 2 above questions will determine what lights you need.
It could be that a flooder like the BLF designed Q8 would be better for lighting up the yards & a simple Convoy S2+ might be ideal for the family use, it all depends what the use is ?

I vote that for any other blf group buy that you are purchasing a light in, we make dang sure you get one of the very first lights. Your analytical capabilities are fantastic (just wish I could understand it all)

Great, test, confirms my eyeball that the tint is really good for a 70CRI LED.
Have you tested it in turbo? I am guessing it will get a little cooler in full turbo.

I know the beam doesn’t converge when measuring at close distance, but for what it’s worth, I got 860kcd at 6.1 meters on the max ramp (6.1^2*23106 lx on the CRI measurement above). So even this close, it’d probably be around 1Mcd on turbo.
Yep, those numbers sounds about right from my own testing as well. It generally takes about 20m to get the peak throw numbers and turbo will make a difference in meter readings.
I have had both of my GT’s in momentary mode the last few weeks, it is fun to just blast them.
