Show us your motorbike. Stll, action or broken.

I have a confession Steve. I met my girfriend when I was 13. She was 23. We kept our relationship a secret until I was 20. Only a few people know I was sexually involved with her at such a young age. To this day we’re still best of friends. BTW, she looks amazing for 75, and I still look like a dork at 65. lol!

Here’s a picture of us from the late 90’s. I do look like a dork.

Bought a second bike yesterday… I love it

1996 XJR 1200, 37000kms and in Mint condition !

Based on my username, many of you have figured out I ride this

...and I somewhat regret selling this last year

X3, fast and comfortable.
klrman, both proven bikes.

southland, yes, they never let me down wherever I rode them, they are both stone reliable.

klrman, you green bike brought me back years ago when the Kawa KDX came out. After it came out, I started to buy cycle magazines, unfortunately my father wouldn’t allow any of us to own a bike.

KDX was a winner of a bike, I liked them a lot. Got my KLR because the range is so huge on one tank and in BC, where I live, there is almost 400,000 miles of dirt roads, mostly through mountainous terrain to discover. Plus the KLR being street legal is the best of both worlds around here.

I haven’t kept track of the cycle developments for a very long time…is the KLR a four-stroke version of the KDX?

It's not really a version of the KDX, it's it's own machine sold since 1987 and upgraded a few times. It's a 650cc four stroke dual sport, and with a few minor mods such as advancing the exhaust cam one tooth and some gearing changes, is a great all around bike.

And since this is a flashlight forum

My neck already hurts thinking about the amount of torque that beast creates. Nice looking bike

Sounds like an interesting mod. What difference did it have on the power?

lostheplot and I did this today. Got dirty together. Its been about 35 years since this previously happened.

Thanks mate. Had a ball.

need to do the real high country before it gets cold
thanks 4 a good day.

Nice! I also have a Honda valkyrie

It boosts compression and makes the motor much more snappier. I geared the bike higher for the highways but still needed the grunt down low for all the dirt trails and that did the trick.

Added a few more to the stable since the last time:

Yamaha TTR 250
Yamaha DT 125
Honda CB 350 1972
MZ TS 125
Kymco Zing 125 (i don’t know why, well it was cheap)

Because it’s fun to ride.

I am into japanese big blocks…

… but as decisions are not my strongest part, I always keep the backdoor open…

By doing it this way, I have two completely different bikes with the same DNA…

Like that one, does the air cooling work pretty good. How significant is the power loss on hot days?
