No.
Do you have other high drain battery to make a try?
If you get a digital meter, you can see the current will drop when the light is blinking.
It may be the battery has problem.
Does the Samsung 30Q is a fresh new battery?

I used regular omten switch. Spring was overheated so I changed hole tail internals with solid piece of brass. Still see blinks after host gets hot.
This flashlight driver has over-heat protection. It will blink. If the temperature is still not go down, it will shutdown the light.
Will you able to try not installing into the flashlight host and see it will over-heat or not?

Maybe you can craft and attach some small copper heatsink over the boost IC and the microcontroller if required.
I recently made a tiny heatsink out of copper sheet for my rotary tool's new speed controller triac, makes a nice deal of a difference even if small in size.

Those came loose and the pointers fell apart.
