This is a low capacity high current battery.











The discharge curves looks good, they track fairly well and capacity is fairly constant independent of load.





Even at 30A the cell do not get too hot, probably because the discharge time is fairly short.















Conclusion

This is a good high current battery, but from an older design with less capacity.

Well, the capacity is REALLY low for 2018. Maybe somebody will find it to be a useful cell.

EDIT: I just looked at this cell in the comparator next to top cells that are popular around here. This cell holds it’s own, especially at the 30A test!

May be OK, but the 2400 mAh variant is simply better.

Not many people know it, but it is a particular cell from Sony / Murata under rewrap VapCell Purple INR18650 2100mAh 25A, it is the Sony US18650VTC4A, Yes I said “VTC4A”, simply an improved version of good old VTC4 that was starting to become really obsolete, for improvements: better internal resistance, lower 1~2milliOhms average compared to VTC4, the latest Sony US18650VTC4A cells that I tested a few days ago had an average internal resistance of 10.75milliOhms, then there is also the increase of the maximum discharge which goes from 20A to 25A continuously, then from 30A to 35A continuously if the temperature of the cell remains lower than 80 ° Celsius. I put pictures of my VTC4A cells when there are still skeptics or even people who dare to call me a liar …

Add: Especially since it is not very expensive, the netshop where I bought them are the following prices: the VTC4A cost 5.20usd / pc and they also offer VTC5D at 6.00usd / pc, very good prices these types of cells.
