A new record for delivery??

Hi All

Just received today an Astrolux A01 from Banggood that I had ordered on 8 Sep 2017, feedback on the order indicated it had been shipped 8/9/2017. The date marked on the package label was 9/9/2017. The package was undamaged, perfectly padded, clean, and all print was correct and clearly legible.

So can anyone beat this, as calculated by Timeanddate.com -

From and including: Friday, 8 September 2017
To, but not including Friday, 2 March 2018

Result: 175 days

It is 175 days from the start date to the end date, but not including the end date

Or 5 months, 22 days excluding the end date

I was waiting for 6 months to elapse before reporting, as I have received several packages before in 5 months, and ended up paying twice to cover the re-send when I reported too early. My current average over the last 34 packages received is now 82.5 days

wow, that shipment went around the world? Is this normal for parcels to South Africa?

I think it went around the world on an asthmatic camel. Normal seems to be 6-8 weeks, my fastest delivery ever was 34 days which, strangely enough, was for a copper Astrolux A-01 ordered from Banggood 23 Dec 2017, which arrived 26 Jan 2018.

I ordered my first decent light a Convoy S2+ from FastTech before I was aware that the authentic Convoy store was on Alliexpress. It was just before the Chinese New Years went into affect and I waited 4 months for that light. I was really debating if it would ever come as it was one of my first intros to Chinese shipping times.

ive had a couple of parcels(ordered different times both arrive 5.1/2 months after ordering from fastech although ihad been refunded after couple months.

Wow… that’s the Flat Stanley of flashlights.

I don't order a lot from China, but I get my items relatively quick.

Usually less than four weeks.

It's super rare when it takes more than six weeks.

Good to know Banggood can occasionally compete with Fastech for 5-6 month delivery times!

Kaidomain shipped 28/02 received today. now thats fastest reg mail ive had.

my record was nearly the same as yours.
i was ordering a phone holder from china at 11.11 last year and it arrived few days ago

Was it shipped by Malaysia Post?

My record is a bit over 5 months
BG, MY, arrived ends 2016
Was my Xmas gift

Wow!

My current (good) normal delivery record order was an USB Rechargeable Torch LED Flashlight (GearBest), less than two full days (Dec 20th - Dec 22th).

Cheers

be glad that yours went around the world and “reached eventually”

my parcel went all over china non stop and eventually the tracking stopped halfway

never to be seen again

How is that light ? Is the switch as ugly as it looks?

I had two or three parcel were spinning for weeks inside China until MIA

A friend had a package that was like 2 months turning inside the Shanghai airport until it disappeared, it was never known if it embarked

It got Shanghaied?

I wouldn't say it's ugly, just don't look at it.

I don't have it myself, bought it for a friend and I've already modded it with an 219C. It uses a 16mm MCPCB which seats in a depressed brass cookie which screws into the reflector base, so quite literally the reflector is the main emitter heat dealing part. The emitter's negative contact in the driver lies relatively close to the outside (battery cathode), this means it'll go direct drive without chance of shutting it down via the switch if you aren't careful when modding it (happened to me so I ended up adding a bit of thermal glue to the contact). Nice smooth reflector, quite throwy. With the smaller 219C the beam is ringy but artifact free.

By the way, from GearBest's product FAQ:

Cheers :-)

My record to Denmark is a small shipment from fasttech. 116 days, starting from the “shipped” date not ordered date.

I do have a single INR18650-30Q 20A ordered from Banggood thats currently at 154 days. It has been in my country, but because the Danish postal service is a special kind of retarded, they sent it back to china. I doubt BG will reship it, as it’s a low value order without tracking. So i have given up on it
