Rating: HKequipment.net [RECOMMENDED]

I emailed them with a product question (on the 5th) and it took them 4 days(today) to respond to me with an answer. I just hope the answer was correct and an item will be restocked.

Can only report good!

More details can be foun here: https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/6387 .

Long story short, I bought a D11.2 that did not really like 14500's. I live in Brazil and it is too expensive to ship the defective light back. They arranged a replacement without the need to ship the defective item back.

Very happy and definitely recommend...

good to hear their service is good even after purchase..they are my go to site for lights..

HKE desverves a "recommended" label imho, they offered to sent replacement switch for my Xeno E03 XP-G for free.

seconded!

Mr. Admin:

Reading through the whole thread, seems like pretty much overwhelming positive. I agree with kreisler we should add

[RECOMMENDED] to the thread title.

Thirded! I have been quite happy with their products and their services the times I have used them.

OK, congrats to HKequipment.net for their new RECOMMENDED label! Thanks for the buyer feedback from you guys.

I thought quite hard before posting this. In the midst of so much glowing approval it's not nice to dampen the feelgood vibe, but my only experience with HKe wasn't so good. Late last year I placed my first order with them for my first charger. It was an Xtar WP2 Mkii, and proved to be one of the many faulty ones around at the time. After swapping a few emails with Stanley, he/they agreed to send me a free replacement. Time went by with no sign of it, so I emailed again and was told that HKe's records showed the replacement had been sent out to me weeks previously. Well, perhaps it was, but I never received it. I emailed again explaining this, and I did get one reply, but to this day (weeks later) my last two emails have gone unanswered.

I can only think that either their CS isn't as consistently good as others have experienced, or Stanley has decided that I'm a scammer not worthy of further communication. Either way, it's left a bad taste. Maybe I was just unlucky.

@ Kreisler:
"Let's not embarrass the dealer by multiple "i havent received the item yet what now?"-emails but be more patient. Please."

So we should all continue to pay hard earned money for items that arrive broken (or don't arrive at all) and then either say nothing about it or praise the seller to the skies?

On 9 Dec Stanley sent the email agreeing to send me a replacement charger. I waited nearly five weeks before enquiring about it. Stanley's response email re the replacement having been shipped "a few weeks ago" was sent on 12 Jan. In this email he apologised for the fact that the replacement hadn't arrived, and offered to send a second replacement. His exact wording was "..will you accept arrange another pack?" I agreed rather reluctantly, explaining that I felt badly about it as he had already sent one replacement, and I offered to wait longer if he thought there was a chance the first replacement might still arrive. This was the first email to which he didn't reply. I waited a week, then sent another similar email a week later on Jan 20th, asking very tactfully if he thought I should just buy another charger. No reply to this, either. I haven't emailed since. It's been at least 60 days since he says the replacement was sent. I haven't exactly been pestering him, have I?

"Lensman, in other threads you've reporting too about shipments not reaching you (DD?, DX?, ..), havent you?"

Not DX. Despite maddening slowness, all my orders from them have EVENTUALLY arrived. Now in mid-dispute with DD and EasyLight. Almost at your '60 days' suggested waiting time with both these orders.

" I dont doubt a single second that HKE did send off the FREE replacement unit (and here i would have paid 2.00$ for tracking too)"

FWIW, I'm inclined to believe Stanley as well, or at least, to believe that HE believes a replacement was sent, but I'm not quite sure how that helps me. I wasn't given the option to pay for tracking, wasn't even told the replacement had supposedly shipped.

If any of this sounds like I'm giving HKe "a hard time" I'll gladly post exact copy/paste of every email I and Stanley exchanged, but it's tedious reading and you have the gist of it above.

As I said before, maybe I was just unlucky. Perhaps someone accidentally deleted both my last two emails before Stanley had a chance to read them. Or possibly he sent a second replacement, again without telling me, and this one also got lost in shipping. Who knows. Anyway, I'm glad your purchasing experiences are better than mine.

+1.

exactly my experience. My SC600 arrived within 9 working days. I'm a satisfied customer

My hat's off to Stanley of hke. As soon as he took hold of my payment Friday of 3 torches to be delivered to

an address in Hongkong, the next Saturday he emailed to me a HKpost tracking number. The package was

delivered Monday. What more can you ask ?

Lensman, replacement for lost shipments are usually provided with tracking by seller. Did HKE give you tracking?

Since my last post I've received an unexpected email from Stanley, 7 weeks since I last heard from him. It's rather strange. Apparently he was aware of my above post because 'a member of BLF was talking about our issue'. Hm. He goes on to say that HKe were 'missing my emails', and that the replacement package they'd sent had been returned to them (presumably by the Postal Service), which he thought indicated a problem with my address.

There are a few points here which puzzle me, but sometimes it's better not to question too much. The replacement charger arrived yesterday and appears to work perfectly. It took a while to resolve, but thank you Stanley. On the strength of this I have to recommend HKe, and I'll be happy to order from you in the future.

@ Leelou: "Lensman, replacement for lost shipments are usually provided with tracking by seller. Did HKE give you tracking?"

Not on this occassion. I didn't know the replacement had actually been sent til I followed up a few weeks later.

Got a little fed up with DX tardiness. Made a purchase with HKe for 1x Thrunite Ti 3/60 lumen black, 1x Jetbeam PA10 (yes this is not a budget light :) ) and Jetbeam M20 Grease.

Have to say I am pretty impressed with the speed which they replied their emails. We basically shot somewhere between 6-8 emails over the course of 24 hours to finalise some deals.

However their prices are not low though, and in most cases higher then market rates. Even after asking for discounts the M20 grease sold to me was ~$8 vs bugoutgear.com of ~$5. There are however one of the only few sellers stocking PA10 still. Lets see how long it takes them to ship.

Edit: Received my stuffs yesterday! Took probably 9-10 days only from payment to arrival! Absolutely impressive. All my stuffs were put into a card box that was very sturdy and nicely wrapped. Although I had to email them for my tracking number, I think they did a very good job. They are still definitely not the cheapest seller but they get it done well. Recommended.

I have emailed them with questions on several occasions, including about getting a BLF price on a certain light. They responded very promptly with a discount for us (this was a while ago). Only good things to say from me!

Does anybody know if HK work through the weekend , i made an offer on their Ebay site last night and am awaiting reply just thought the 48 hrs might be up before they see my offer on Monday morning?

They usually check their emails - got a reply on an order from Stanley (info@hkequipment.net) 7 hours before your post

I highly recommend them. Bought an Ultrafire UF-T70 Triple XM-L and got timely status emails, delivery in less than 2 weeks, was well packaged, etc.

Prices are usually lower on their website than on ebay and they can be a good source for the newest stuff. For example, they have the Thrunite TN30 3x Cree XM-L U2, with a $20 BLF discount: http://www.hkequipment.net/index.php?sp=&p=6&cat2=199&cat1=55&cat0=1&id=1345&cat1=55&cat0=1&new=&more=&s=16814724c8897b813323c512c21b9097&lang=en
