ENDED.

I think it is XHP35 HI. The white surrounding area of die is very narrow. On XP-L HI leds this part is wider.

Still interested.

I have some 21700 cells on the way from China.

guys this is completely random sorry. Ive been a member of BLF for a little bit, but i dont know how forums work exactly and i have a question about a thorfire light i have. dont know how to ask questions, post them or whatever (im confused).
My question is, what causes donut holes in flashlights beams? My Thorfire S70s has a donut hole right smack dab in the middle of it brand new. I know a lot of people on here say they dont have on on there, but i have one on mine and it just keeps getting bigger and bigger no matter how far away i shine it. If it didnt have this problem id love the light. But unless there is a fix, its just ok to me.

And i dont have imgur or photobucket for pictures, i cant figure either of them out…… Ive been trying but im doing something wrong. so……. any idea what causes these holes?

Posting this question in the middle of an unrelated thread is definitely not the way to go. It disturbs the thread, you are unlikely to get pertinent answers and it makes it difficult for other people with the same issue to find this information.

Please go to the forum sections (top left menu on the home page), chose Flashlights general info and then click the “New topic” button at the top left of the list. Enter a title for this new thread and type your question in the main text portion. Click “Save” at the bottom and you’re done. Hosting and posting images is a bit more complicated. I think there is a thread somewhere that explains how to proceed.

Short answer to your question is XHP70 large multiple die. Same thing happens with other lights using that led - more or less depending on the reflector.

You meant Manker U22?

They are very similar.
