ALL THINGS BUDGET KNIVES

i have belts from 85 to 2000 plus a leather stropping belt along with several different jewelers rouges but really not necessary for every day carry. an 85 and 240 belt will do most of the work along with a ceramic rod for light touchup.

I completely agree and have a similar variety of belts (including the leather one). It just looks nice to have that gleaming mirror edge to show off to friends.

I finished my review about the Ganzo G803 and the Hx Outdoors TD-01 survival knives.

Nice knives!.

In a short time i will put my review of td01 with two knives more for comparing…

The Ganzo G803 is a very good deal especially when it’s on sale.

Price dropped on Ganzo F7562, now it’s $15 for G10 and $16 for CF version! with Gearbest points it can be really cheap deal  Unlucky me, should have waited few days more, it was $21 at the time I ordered it. Don’t know if prices dropped on other knives…
FB7601 CF $23 - last time i checked it was $27, again, can be pretty good deal with GB points

Just ordered the CF7562 with GB points! See below:-

Thanx for the tip!

Just got 3 very nice and beautiful knives today. Did paper slice test just now, surprisingly two bigger knives slice better with CTSmart claw knife slices the best.

How much does the “Praetorian” (in the middle) weight?
I have the full steel version and that’s the heaviest folder I have ever seen.

I hope I^’ll get my Y_Start damascus knife on monday and that Sanrenmu with the dragon on it.

If I don’t like the dragon it will get a CF scale. Nah, of course it will get a CF scale eventually anyways…

Anyone from California order OTF’s or Autos from Ali,Fastech or DHGate have any issues receiving your order?

Nice!

I could only find it in a Polish store, do you have other links?

You’re entitled to your opinion and I’m entitled to mine. And in my opinion your statement is absolutely untrue.

Tac Force, M-Tech, WarTech, Tiger USA, Snake eye, Master Cutlery etc.? Those are cheap junk! Not Ganzo. Ganzo’s quality is EXCELLENT compared to those, the difference is night and day.

For someone just getting into knives on a budget they should stay away from those cheap junk knives on ebay and buy some Ganzo’s. The quality is 100 times better than those cheap junk knives. I own well over 100 knives and my Ganzo’s are some of the best mid quality knives I own. I’d rate them as being in the quality range of Sanrenmu, and many Kershaw, CRKT, SOG and Camillus, I’d put them above most Gerber, Boker magnum, Schrade and S&W.

.

Again completely untrue, and I take great offense to the demoralizing “mall ninja” characterization.

Tac Force, M-Tech, WarTech, Tiger USA, Snake eye, Master Cutlery, those are for mall ninjas, not Ganzo. I own and use Ganzo’s and I am not a mall ninja, far from it. My Ganzos are very functional in real use, not just looks, and the AXIS locks do work GREAT.

And Ganzo’s are a great value too, most are around $20, that’s only slightly more than the real “cheap junk mall ninja knives” such as Tac Force, M-Tech, WarTech, Tiger USA, Snake eye, Master Cutlery etc.

.

Just received a GANZO G7291-BK from Fasttech. 12 days to USA! Actual delivery time was 6 days from when it left Hong Kong!

Another excellent Ganzo as usual. Perfect in every way.
I love the excellent grip of the random CNC cut grooves in the G10. WAY better grip than plain G10.

A knife company like Spyderco are primarily concerned with the function of their knives. Their number one goal is to make sure that every knife that leaves the factory is well made, has a good locking mechanism, can be relied upon etc.

Ganzo’s business model is to copy the look of other knives (incl Spyderco). Not the function, they want to copy the look. The function is a much lower priority for them. We can prove this by how easily their axis-lock fails, how soft the screws are, uneven blade grinds etc. They have made knives that look heavy duty (and weigh a lot!) but which are not suitable for heavy duty use.

If you buy knives based on looks rather than function … maybe mall ninja is a harsh term but you are a certain class of buyer who Ganzo target. Most of their customers will never discover their knives shortcomings because they don’t really use them. Maybe they just take photos of their black knife with their black torch so they can pretend to themselves that they are spec ops

Evidence? It’s bad form to talk about proving something without providing any supporting evidence.

I too would be quite interested in evidence of Ganzo’s locking mechanisms “easily failing”, what with the 3 or 4 I have coming my way from GearBest (which is mostly this thread’s fault, btw. :p)

I EDC a Ganzo f753m1 and use it everyday for various usage…
From opening packages to eating, it never failed…
I also have a Ganzo f7601 at work, and it had seen sor pretty rough uses without failing…
I don’t know what Varbos’ expectations are, but we might have some different point of view about what a knife is made for…

I mostly agree with you, but you must admit that those knives looks very nice on shared images took together with their led illuminated keyboards.

Well, me as a beginner into budget blades, I didn’t like Ganzos either. But after few days of playing with my FB7601, I started to like it and therefore ordered F7562. In the future I’ll order few more for sure, next would be Ganzo cleaver. Let’s be honest, there is hundreds of blade designs created, maybe thousands…Do you really think that something new can be created that doesn’t remind you of some other model? As one Youtuber said, if you look it that way, than all cars are each others copy, etc etc…No one is complaining about cimilar design cars, phones, planes, wheels, spoons, forks, but when you see similar design of a knife, it’s a disaster!!! For me, I don’t see any good company besides Ganzo that is making attractive and quality knives. Ganzo is for sure not the best quality making knife company, but for that budget price range, we cannot complain! I could never afford real Sebenza, or Benchmade or any other expensive AF knife, I live in poor country, that is a fact, and I’m totally satisfied with Ganzo for now. Wish Sanrenmu do knives more often as they seem to have better quality production…
