Acebeam X70 - 40000 lm - 8*18650 - Active fan cooling

How can it be both air cooled AND waterproof?

Of course when underwater it doesn’t need air cooling, it’s then water cooled

Maybe the fan isn’t harmed when it is submerged even if it goes into a full stall due to the water?

Just thinking out loud…………

Well, when snorkeling with this fan-cooled light, the fan will now propel you in the water so you don’t have to wear flippers!

too bad, they can put 5000 lumen each xhp70.2, but they didnt

How? Technically!?

5000 lumen each led this thing will melt away in 45 seconds on full blast!! :weary:

Knew Acebeam was gonna make something like this. We actually have a light with active cooling for once! Seems quite promising but I’m confused as to why they didn’t use 20700s.

It keeps costs down to reuse X65 parts.

And you are thinking separate cells in a carrier.

Super hi performance lights like this will not be able to do it that way. From now on, I believe, we will only see lights like this with integrated power packs with welded tabs and built in BMS boards.

Two of these, boosted a little bit, one in each hand, should yield 100,000 lumens of brief yet exciting burst. That will do nicely, until even bigger comes along.

I'll stick with my DX80. Bump from 32,000 lumens to 40,000 lumens is going to be negligible to the eye, but the dx80 coupon price of $216 compared to what acebeam is probably going to charge for this won't be negligible to my wallet

hopefully i may take some pictures tomorrow of it to share... ;)

With active cooling and a 8-cell pack you should be able to run 1000 lumens longer than any other light on the market right now. I mean the nice thing is that modes below 40000 also run cooler.

You aint a real flashaholic then.

Guys, we are not forcing you to buy a x70.

The light looks nice. But I suspect that English speaking customers are one of their primary markets. If they put as much effort into their light as they do into their English written material they have a problem.

I’ll just leave these here….

How long will those active cooling fans last? I’ve got two Imalent DX80’s and up till now no problem with them.

Someone measure its tailcap current please.

guys - acebeam showed a sample...

no final driver, not possible to measure anything ;)

needs about 2 more months...

it is smaller than the GT :D

Hmm, I just found this thread.

If anyone here is interested in learning about some other lights with active Cooling, I started a thread on a bunch of different models over here.
