Sadly, i think NC may have lost their interest in making NW headlamp. I really wish they have made HC70 more affordable or at least pack it with more exciting features like XHP50, red or flood LEDs if they wish to sell it as a flagship light.
With the screws visible on the faceplate, maybe it isn’t glued together.
Hopefully it’s an easy emitter swap.
The HC70 is too big and heavy for my needs. HC65 looks nice.
Simple batterybank feature would make it a very nice outdoor companion if combined with a small solar panel.

Unfortunately, the HC70 wasn’t right for me - I thought it would be great to have a separate battery pack for longer run times, but in real life I found that for my purposes (walking my dog for 45 minutes each time & reading in bed), a single cell light is far more useful.
So since I had given away my Imalent HR20 (which to be honest didn’t seem that great quality, even if I’ll miss the stepless dimming), I’ve been looking for a decent single 18650 headlamp. This one seems to fit the bill nicely, especially with the auxiliary high CRI light. And once something newer comes out in a few years time, I can gift it to my nephew, who loves his NU10 (and who now probably wouldn’t accept a headlamp that hasn’t got additional colour lighting!)…
