ALL THINGS BUDGET KNIVES

The “Tiger Teeth” doesn’t come with a locking pin.

The Halibut comes with one pin / torx tool. In case you loose it you can easily replace it with a bent nail for example.

That RAO II looks nice and its blade shape seems more practical than its predecessor.

Any ideas for a ball bearing small folder i can sit&flick with? I rather stay under 6” total length of knife. As “budgety” as possible please.
Frame or liner lock.

!!

Sanrenmu 7076. No bearings(im no fan of bearings… washers can be just as smooth and stay longer that way. This one had good steel, flips like a dream, and overall good construction.

If you prefer something more fancy than that Sanrenmu you should have a look at these Fura mini cleavers (S35VN blade, titanium frame-lock with ball bearings). I have one of these and it flips like a charm.

I need a knife or knives with deep pocket clip like Ganzo FB7601 has, but knife must be smaller, blade size like 2 or 2 1/2 inches cuz apparently I’m living in a place with pile of hardcore rednecks who see knife as a nuclear weapon and it can maybe cause me some trouble because of those rednecks. Need to be budget knife, no more than $20 price, elegant looking, no lock. Steel type must be 8cr13(14)mov, 12c27 or 440c. I really like my Sanrenmu 7112, I carry it always with me wherever I go, great gentleman knife but pocketclip is not deep carry so knife sticks out a bit, wish they did it with deep carry clip…

I thought rednecks loved knives, guns and beer… :open_mouth:

Lol, you called us all rednecks. Just kidding. I love beer  . Knife here is called weapon by stupid people, even if you use it for a job…Sheeple are just ignoring a fact that knife is a tool, not a weapon, so every time I carry it in a pocket with pocket clip, it draws much attention, some of them know I carry a knife, some of them asks what that is, then after I tell them it’s a knife, they freak out. Yeah I’m just carrying small 3 inch folding knife to stab some people and then cut some apples afterwards to satisfy my hunger for killing and eating healthy :person_facepalming: I don’t like knife tumbling around in my pocket, pocket clip keeps it at the side of the pocket. Nice, snug and clean…

Today is my lucky day. I receive two beautiful knives(SR and CTSmart) and BLF GT.

For self-defense a better flashlight than a knife

Ya, she is so big and dark, might be able to scare some thieves away.

I came to this thread tonight to search the CTSmart CT …and your post was my first unread!

How do you like it?

I like it a lot. Simple design, straight shape, very easy to open. CTsmart knife always surprises me. This one seems to be using plastic scale though.

Will be very thankful if someone can recommend me a quality torx bits for these budget knives, don’t wanna strip heads. I will be making my own wooden scales on Sanrenmu knives for some customers. Is this good kit? Can be from any site that is shipping worldwide (GB, Aliexpress, dhgate, etc…)

The Xiaomi Wiha is a good set and is on sale right now.

That is a good brand & set, but this particular set is a specialty screw set, and lacking selection of more Torx sizes for knives. A lot of knives I have use T6 thru T8.

Indeed, and this set has them.
TR6 and TR8 are the same as T6 and T8 but with an extra hole in the middle of the bit. They work just fine on regular torx screws.

Ah, apologies.
I focused on the actual picture of contents, and the TR6 & 8 are sitting in separate slots & row, and partially obscured.

T9 is also a popular size for pivot screws.

Wiha made in China …

Sorry, it goes too much selling forum

The bits are made by Wiha in Germany.
The rest is made by Xiaomi in China.
