Love the idea for a poll for both emitter and tint.
I’m a big fan of the Q8 tint
I really like the q8 too. One of my q8 seems slightly cooler than the other and it’s my favorite. Not a fan of the 4000k gt emitter, but to each his own.

My XP-L (domed) 4000k-ish emitter in the UT01 is also very rosy. Even if it isn’t high CRI, I can totally live with that if the beam is consistent and the tint on the rosy side of the black body line.
I have 3 UT01 delivered january and february 2017 and they are all unfortuantely very greenish. When and where did you buy yours?
My favorite looking tint is the XP-L 4000k 5D tint on the Emisar D4. It is very nice neutral rosy tint with no yellow or green. The Emisar D4 XP-L 5000k 3D tint had a bit of magenta and a hint of blue. It was too cold for me. I think 4000k on the rosy side of the BBL would be perfect for this small EDC light.
Before we go too far here shouldn’t we address the problems the GT group buy is having with Neal ? Here is a quote from the first page:
“Exciting news!
With the active support from Neal we finally found a new partner for our project and the progress is far enough to reveal the name: Lumintop”
I just hope by the time this project is ready to go that the team has found someone to deal with Lumintop and we can avoid the total mess that the GT group buy has turned into.jmtc

I didn’t even know Neal had anything to do with this GB. Does he?
Due to the huge size of the GT, it resulted in a lot of problems such as getting reflectors and shipping it. A little light such as this one is definitely not going to have those type of issues. Hopefully Lumintop can crank out these little suckers at about the same pace as Thorfire did with the Q8, which is about 500 a week.
I’d give more answers, but it’d only be speculation. I don’t have direct contact with Lumintop, and haven’t seen most of the communication behind the scenes.
As far as features go, I’m not sure about some hardware details like emitter type, but the basic host design is unlikely to change much and the firmware is mostly ready. The UI is Anduril, which is sort of like an evolution of Narsil, so it has lots of features. Smooth ramp or a mode group, both configurable, with lots of extras like blinkies and special modes. I should probably put a summary in one of the first-page posts.

Without this UI it’s just another light. (OK, it’s got a lot going for it but imagine if it shipped with the S42 UI!)
The hobby has not been the same for me since Liteflux disappeared, I feel that Anduril has got us right back where we need to be.
Simple is great but some of us like the ability to do more than just turn on the light.
Thank you for all of your effort!

I think 4000K makes sense for a thrower, because it has less blue light to scatter and obscure the target. It also makes sense for a lantern. But for a more traditional flashlight I prefer things in the 4500-5000K range.
Could you put me down for a second light? I’m loving the look of this things and will definitely need two.
ToyKeeper, are there any lights or drivers being sold that use Andúril?

Nope, not yet. I think the FW3A will probably be the first.
It seems like there should be by now though. I’ve been using it for at least 6 months.
If Toykeeper has no super stealth project running, I think there is no lamp with Andúril out there.
But for the driver you can ask RMM or Lexcel if they flash Andúril on one off their boards.
Edit:
Ups, TK was quicker while I was typing
I am interested put me on list, subscribing for updates.
My name is on the list for one & I’d like to raise that to 2 lights. Thanks.

Put me on the list for one as well please!

Well, it’s been 7 months and things have changed. I checked and my name hadn’t been removed from interest list, let’s keep it that way for now!
How much longer?
I’m putting off getting an e2l because of this. If I get the e2l then this arrives it’ll be yet another light going in the drawer.
never fear shadows…it means a light shines nearby
I think we’re mostly waiting on communication delays lately. Has been hard to get a response when people are busy trying to catch up from CNY.
Hum, I thought about that too… CNY always brings some “delays”!
I hope “you” manage to get some news soon from LT to boost this project
I’m holding to ask for a second one (or even a third…
) till we know the “final” features of this light!
Let’s see if April brings us some good news

For the list update: I’m #378 in the OP and I’m still down for 1pc.
I like the “Shiny raw machined” look in the first 2 photos, but I don’t really care for the “dull bead-blasted” look in the last two photos.
