ALL THINGS BUDGET KNIVES

Lol, you called us all rednecks. Just kidding. I love beer  . Knife here is called weapon by stupid people, even if you use it for a job…Sheeple are just ignoring a fact that knife is a tool, not a weapon, so every time I carry it in a pocket with pocket clip, it draws much attention, some of them know I carry a knife, some of them asks what that is, then after I tell them it’s a knife, they freak out. Yeah I’m just carrying small 3 inch folding knife to stab some people and then cut some apples afterwards to satisfy my hunger for killing and eating healthy :person_facepalming: I don’t like knife tumbling around in my pocket, pocket clip keeps it at the side of the pocket. Nice, snug and clean…

Today is my lucky day. I receive two beautiful knives(SR and CTSmart) and BLF GT.

For self-defense a better flashlight than a knife

Ya, she is so big and dark, might be able to scare some thieves away.

I came to this thread tonight to search the CTSmart CT …and your post was my first unread!

How do you like it?

I like it a lot. Simple design, straight shape, very easy to open. CTsmart knife always surprises me. This one seems to be using plastic scale though.

Will be very thankful if someone can recommend me a quality torx bits for these budget knives, don’t wanna strip heads. I will be making my own wooden scales on Sanrenmu knives for some customers. Is this good kit? Can be from any site that is shipping worldwide (GB, Aliexpress, dhgate, etc…)

The Xiaomi Wiha is a good set and is on sale right now.

That is a good brand & set, but this particular set is a specialty screw set, and lacking selection of more Torx sizes for knives. A lot of knives I have use T6 thru T8.

Indeed, and this set has them.
TR6 and TR8 are the same as T6 and T8 but with an extra hole in the middle of the bit. They work just fine on regular torx screws.

Ah, apologies.
I focused on the actual picture of contents, and the TR6 & 8 are sitting in separate slots & row, and partially obscured.

T9 is also a popular size for pivot screws.

Wiha made in China …

Sorry, it goes too much selling forum

The bits are made by Wiha in Germany.
The rest is made by Xiaomi in China.

Maybe, cant confirm. But so much what I read, it not same level what other Wiha.

Please dont take that in China made things are low quality. In China made things are good quality and low quality (and cheap) and between them.
Just price says very much about thing, nobody cant beat economy.
Problem are, that (in my country) they sell low quality China produced things with high price so I prefer order it directly and if I need some quality, I buy it from somewhere other place (taxes and so on came in).

But what we see here. Somebody praise somthing cheap and then other came in and prise it and maybe third too … Please do it more clever.

OK, somthing about knife: my EDC are Victorinox Swiss Tool CS an Ganzo F759M (yes thinked about Spyderco but 10x price for low usage … Must think longer)

I am not affiliated with neither Gearbest, Wiha or Xiaomi, so I don’t really care if people buy or not.
Someone asked for advice and I have no problem praising and recommending something that I have used and that hasn’t given me any problem, no matter the country of origin.
IMO, this set is well worth the $25 they ask for. Can you get better for 2 or 3 times the money? probably.

These Bondhus are excellent, high quality, Made in USA.

Most of the allen and torx sets in the stores now days are really crap, poor fit, soft metal, there’s some real junk out there.
I use the Bondhus at my job, where it is critical I have a reliable tool that fits properly, tightly and won’t strip out.

I got this “short length” set for my knives, works great.

You would have to search to find a seller that ships to your country, not sure amazon does? But I think there are ways to get an item forwarded: http://www.usgobuy.com/en/how-it-works.html

Thanks people for introducing me this nice sets. I searched a bit for reviews on Xiaomi Wiha, and although it says Wiha on box, quality is not the same as real German Wiha, but for other chinese bits, Xiaomi Wiha is way above in quality.
Bondhus seems like good set too, unfortunately Amazon is too much expensive in fees to ship to my Country, more than 50 bucks just for shipping, same is for usgobuy…luckily i found it on ebay and it will cost me around 25 bucks, almost the same as Xiaomi Wiha.
I agree that bits in local shop are crappy, and I can’t even find torx bits smaller than T10

You’ll like this Bondhus set, it’s real precision made and quality hardness of steel. Pity you had to pay so much but I think they’re worth the extra coin.

IMO the short “L” wrenches seem better to use on knives than those small bit type. Now if I can only find where I put my T8 wrench! :person_facepalming:

When I searched some time ago bit set then I get opinion, that smaller size bits are higher priced (and harder found) and I get better result if I buy not bits.
Next time I think you can try Wera, it quite good grade and not so high priced like Wiha.
About local shop, in my town reasonable priced bits are crap (or lottery) and better bits are not reasonable priced. I use Germany or UK if I order tools, but becouse shipping (ordinary 8-15 EUR) it reasonable order more costly thing or bigger bunch. (Becouse tax /custom (in our country 22EUR line) and inside EU there are no tax/custom adding when order arrives (seller gets it locally). I see, that you live outside EU so dont know about custom/tax)
