I guess the people that are in the 3rd batch GB is not going to receive PM anytime soon. Its almost the end of March.
Well, we could rush the PMâs and risk making some of the same mistakes as last time or we can spend the time needed to fix the issues from last time, learn from them and then hopefully not repeat them next time.
I vote for the latter option.
Plus since we are still limited by the reflector production rate it would not really speed up the actual shipping times anyways.
Luckily thread is not locked again.
Most materials of GT are big size, so its material shortage problems are real to me. Any supplier canât deliver the part on time and with good quality, it would/will cause delay. Very simple.
Agreed. Hopefully, everything will be settled down soon.

He says he will let them send next week
That is true I know Lumintop did sell a lot to a person in South Africa. He selling it now for $700 plus with batteries included. Convert back to rand will give you around R8900.
He selling it now for 700USD plus with batteries included.
Donât you mean heâs trying to sell it for $700? It seems very unlikely anyone would actually buy it for that price.
I guess itâs a compliment that the quality of the light is high enough that someone might think itâs worth that much money.
Is there a really bad currency exchange rate there? Is $700 there really like $300 in the USA? I have no idea when it comes to South Africa.
700 Rand is about 60 Dollars
âselling it now for 700USDâ
The âUSDâ parts means US dollars.

Color me dumb, but I assumed they have their own currency. Do they use USD there?
Has someone already done the conversion? Assuming they use Rand, Maybe heâs asking 8,166 Rand for a GT?
I dont really care, Iâm just passing time.
Still waiting for the body and batteries.

No offence for the BLF team, they did a great job.

I group the Customs Dept in with the âpostal systemâ.
Once it leaves Lumintop, it is out of LT and Nealâs hands. We are at the mercy of the postal system.
DENGOH: ThrowMeInToDarkness: Texas_Ace:Yes, I am discussing the selling lights outside of the GB with them, that issue is still in the works. I will just say I canât entirely blame them for what they are doing, but am not happy at all with how they were doing it.
So the âdelaysâ for shipping the GB lights werenât genuine after all, and they were selling out the back door? And they actually did have lights that supposedly didnât exist?
I recall a week or two ago you said unequivocally they werenât shafting the GB??? And that you heard from Neal and Lumintop that the reflector sourcing was the reason for the delaysâŚ.
Seems to me the GB could have been paved-over some time ago.I think the quantity Lumintop has sold outside GB is really not enough causing such a long delay.
I believe the delay was mostly due to slow in producing quality reflector, expensive shipping cost to remote area that Neal/Lumintop try to solve before asking buyer to pay more and CNY holiday. That is true I know Lumintop did sell a lot to a person in South Africa. He selling it now for 700USD plus with batteries included.
How do you know he has a lot? Maybe he has a few in stock and high order quantity will need to be shipped from Lumintop directly.
Letâs have a conspiracy theory. If he can get big customer for example military to buy 100 GT at USD650 per piece, Lumintop should serve that order first. I personally will look down Lumintop if they donât serve that order first. I hope Lumintop earn more money outside this GB or any future GB, so that Lumintop becomes long term GB partner producing high quality flashlight. Smart partner is better than stupid partner.
Neal asked me about the method of delivery on March 21, and after that again silence
UPD Neal answered me)

Days ago I found this seller based in South Africa, I think it is the same, who says he has 6 items
There are also no batteries, 6 items
Lumintop sold many GT anywhere, but didnât perform GB obligations. Nice.

No need for paypal claim. Contact Neal first.
Just so you know, in my years shipping internationally I have been surprised more time then you would think when a package would take 60 days or more to clear customs. I also had a few cases where the package just disappeared for over 3-4 months and then suddenly turned up on my doorstep one day.
