Test/review of Sony US18650VT3 1500mAh (Green)

Sony US18650VT3 1500mAh (Green)

Official specifications (This is for VTC3):

  • Nominal capacity: 1600mAh

  • Rated capacity: 1500mAh

  • Capacity at 1.5A discharge: 1425mAh

  • Nominal voltage: 3.7V

  • Charge current: 1.5A

  • Discharge cut-off: 2.5V

A older 18650 battery for tools.

There are two curves for all discharge currents, this must be a perfect match between the two batteries. The batteries has nearly constant discharge capacity up to 20A.

Conclusion

The battery has fairly low capacity by todays standard, but it can deliver a lot of current.

Vapcell told me that I was missing some cells in my comparator and they would be happy to supply them.

Thank you for this review.

I have a bunch of these cells from Makita 18V battery packs I’ve dismantled.

They are used and low on mAh. But I’m happy to see that they are capable of high current draw. I don’t have the capacity to test that.

Thanks again for the above information!
