3 Cree 4500K
3 Cree 5000K

I will go with what the group decides.

Any CREE or Nichia 4500k or 5000k for me, preferably 5000k. I wouldn’t have signed up if I knew I was going to have to settle for 4000k. Don’t like the 4000k and didn’t necessarily pay for 4000k. I understand things happen but, earned money spent on a light I won’t use is a waste of earned money. This is the first group buy I have participated in. I have seen some group buys take a year or more to complete and get full of problems and hard feelings. I don’t want it to end up like that. Everyone bought the light at 5000k and 5000k it should stay. Ordering a few hundred lights with 4 different emitter options would be ridiculously time consuming and almost impossible. That’s just my two cents.

If it all goes to hell I have options to get my money back. Paypal and my credit card company has provisions for being charged for a particular product and then being told you can’t have it.

On a separate note, I never even received a confirmation of my payment by anyone. Don’t know if they were suppose to send anything or not.

I’m ok with what the group decides also.

1. Nichia 4500K
3. Nichia 4000K
5. Cree 4500K
2. Nichia 5000K
4. Cree 5000K

1. Any Nichia
2. Any Cree

Status update: Feels like Friday the 13th for sure.. There are still major problems sourcing the emitters. Both Wuben and me are working hard to find a good source for 5000K emitters (preferably Nichia), but so far without success. Because of these problems, the payment deadline is extended to "one week after" we have solved the problems.

Please accept our sincere apologies for the situation and try to wait patiently!

On the other hand, threatening me/Wuben with PayPal or Credit card company disputes makes me feel (even more) sad and is totally unnecessary. Just send me a PM if you want to bail out. A full refund will be issued in a short time. [In the absolutely worst case I may have to buy all unclaimed lights, but I think I can live with it]

1. Nichia 4500K
2. Nichia 4000K
3. Nichia 5000K / Cree 4500K
4. Cree 5000K (waiting for more than 10 weeks….)

I apologize for my un-intended reply to all message.

You’re not the only one to do it

If it ends up using Nichias, I’m definitely in to buy one.

Thanks for keeping us updated about this  Let’s hope some “store” has it in stock

New to BLF, new to group buys, new the flashlight scene altogether.

Reading though some new & not-so-new threads it seems that most GB's go sideways one way or another.

I suppose I'm too new at this to have any preconceived expectations, so the potential for disappointment is limited.

Supply chain issues occur within any manufacturing environment. Deadlines aren't met, cost overruns happen.

The international nature of this hobby adds complexities not present if everything was domestically sourced.

S#|t happens.

As long as I receive a quality item that doesn't produce a baby blue donut hole beam while at the same time not getting hot enough to fry an egg, I'll be satisfied. That's just my newbie perspective.

I'd just like to thank _the_ for the opportunity to acquire an item unavailable to most people, and at a bargain price. Not an easy task, being in the middle.

I'll likely be satisfied with whatever appears at my doorstep.

A question from a noob. What do you guys think the max driver current is on this light? It’s probably a constant current driver, 1300 lumen output from 3x XP-G3 emitters (correct me if I’m wrong) What do you think will happen if they are swapped for 3x XP-L HI or 3x XP-L2 emitters?

The I’ve sent a PM as I wish to withdraw from the group buy. I have not heard from you since last communication regarding Monday as a resolution date.

Please get back to me ASAP.

Thank you.

Thanks The. I have been reimbursed.

Where are we at on the emitter choice?

Still working on it. The best choice would seem to be Nichia 5000K, but we need to confirm the availability and lead time.

Any update on the emitter choice? Nichia 5000k sounds good if they can source them

Any possible Wuben go with Samsung LH351D 4000K 90cri, That is emitter I will swap anyway
I’ve way too many Nichia 219c lights, I don’t really need another one!
