Annual stocking of new guidebooks for our annual vacation

Nice! Have you guys picked a place yet?

My Lii-S1 finally arrived yesterday…

Those chargers are cool.

We never pick before going. We have a camper van, we go where the climbing and weather is good at the same time. Many times when we have been driving to a particular destination we changed our minds on the fly and ended up in a different place in a different country. We bring loads of guidebooks and choose where to go in the evenings with a phone showing weather report in one hand and a rum & coke in the other, and then see if we end up there once we start driving the next day

Nice. I'm a big fan of LG since we have two 50 inch plasma tv's that seem to be indestructible and going on 10 years old now. Ours are not smart tv's, so I fixed that by running a long hdmi cable from my pc to them and now they are huge internet boxes

This is my second LG. The first one is a 65” OLED. Amazing TV. The 55” LCD arrived today. It’s a big improvment over my 46” Samsung. Here’s a crappy picture of it taken with my cell without flash.
This is my bedroom TV connected to a Mac Mini.

The TV and setup looks awesome. Can't beat having the world at your fingertips to choose what you really want to watch instead of using the cable companies. Gave up in on them a long time ago.

Thanks. Here’s a better picture. I need to get a bigger TV stand because the TV legs come right to the edge. As far as watching TV, I have Directv Now, Netflix, Amazon Prime streaming services and a boatload of converted DVD’s

Unless you “need” a new one you can add a bigger wooden panel on top of the old.

Good idea

I like the whole setup

Thanks a lot. Looks like I need to dust especially around the Mac Mini. It’s pretty nasty! The flash really shows all that crap!

haha, nothing a damp cloth can't fix. At the moment, I have a 25ft hdmi cable running from one of my pc's to my LGTV. I like your set up much better with the Mac Mini underneath.

I hope Apple releases a new more powerful Mac Mini soon. I have 2 2014 mid-range models. The other one is in my living room. They work great for streaming video and surfing the internet. I use my PC for more demanding stuff like converting DVD’s into digital, etc. I’m kind of worried that Apple might discontinue the Mini. That would suck becuse I like the Mac OS much better than Windows 10.

My Win7 pc I built years ago is running the tv as well as whatever I do in windows from graphics etc etc as I run an extra monitor on it, but everything else I do on my Linux machine. Linux can be addictive with all its freebies. I've only used Apple once in school eons ago so I am not that familiar with it.

Got this Dewalt 20 Volt reciprocating saw today. I like that it’s compact and powerful with a
1.125” stroke. And since I have Dewalt’s 20 volt drill and impact driver, I got this without the charger and batteries. Speaking of batteries, I ordered (2) 5 amp hour spares.

My (2) 5 amp hour batteries arrived today. Charging them now.

Got a new Fluke 62 Max Infrared Thermometer today. I’m gifting my old 62 Mini to a buddy of mine.

Very nice!. One day I will get a Fluke, but this morning this is what came in my box The Banggood $6.99 special. So far, I've tested it on my morning coffee and it measures 128F.

Yep, I got the same one. Or mightta been GB instead of BG, forgot. No complaints.

Ugh, gimme good ol’ fashioned flaming-hot crotch-scorching coffee anyday, rather than the tepid crotch-safe coffee everyone has (takeout or at-home) nowadays.

Had to look at GB and BG to remember where I got it from, but man, I can't take the scorching hot coffee anymore. Don't like it room temps either. After doing a few tests with my IR thermometer, 121F feels just about right
